As far as parachuting with a dog, I’d be concerned about their losing the fear of heights. They don’t necessarily understand the concept and may very well end up jumping to their deaths.

I’ve seen photos of soldiers jumping with their dogs. The dogs don’t jump by themselves...they are usually tandem-strapped to their handlers. They are in physical contact with their handlers the whole way down.

They are in physical contact with their handlers the whole way down.There is a linked article that talks about SEAL dogs. They do both tandem and Solo. They most often do Solo into water.
