Secretary Kerry: U.S. To Send Scientists To Discuss Homosexuality With Ugandan President
BuzzFeeda ^ | March 18, 2014 | J Lester Feder

Posted on 03/18/2014 1:45:46 PM PDT by lbryce

“Maybe we can reach a point of reconsideration” on Uganda’s Anti-Homosexuality Bill, Kerry said during a forum at the State Department.

The Ugandan president committed to meeting with American “experts” on homosexuality to try to change his mind about the Anti-Homosexuality Act signed into law last month, U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry said on Tuesday during a forum at the State Department moderated by BuzzFeed.

Museveni claimed to have signed the law, which imposes up to a lifetime prison sentence for homosexuality, after being convinced no one is “born gay.”

“I talked personally to President Museveni just a few weeks ago, and he committed to meet with some of our experts so that we could engage him in a dialogue as to why what he did could not be based on any kind of science or fact, which is what he was alleging,” Kerry said. “He welcomed that and said that he was happy to receive them and we can engage in that kind of conversation… maybe we can reach a point of reconsideration.”

Kerry suggested this conversation was an example of the “tailored approach” the State Department is now developing to respond to anti-LGBT laws currently in place in around 80 countries worldwide. Shortly before his remarks, the Congressional Black Caucus sent a letter to Kerry urging it to examine relations with all countries with anti-LGBT laws, not just Uganda.

Kerry may be a fine a Secretary of State but when it comes to social issues especially regarding homosexuality wouldn't the President be a much more proficient and appropriate person to be handling this issue, especially one in which he has such special expertise in, proclivity for?

How much will it cost us (how much will we have to pay him off) to have Museveni change his mind? Is this the most pressing issue with which JK has to deal??

The other day John Bolton said that “sending Kerry to negotiate with Russia is like sending a cupcake to negotiate with a steak knife”. But this sounds like a fair match-up.

This is beyond stupid. Nobody is "born" committing sodomy, and after all, it's sodomy that gives "gay" a bad name.

Nobody objects to how you feel about your same-sex friends. Just conduct yourself honorably and don't commit any perverted behavior --- at the very least, not in such a way that it intrudes upon the attention of your fellow citizens --- and I doubt your fellow citizens will have anything against you.

Ohhh, I wish he had just said to the US, go pound sand and we don’t need your stinking perversion in our country.

This needs to be pointed out consistently - homosexuality will not bring judgement upon our country; homosexuality IS the judgement. Romans 1:26 starts with “For this reason” and continues “God gave them up to vile passions.” “..men with men committing what is shameful”; so this is a judgement upon our society.

It also continues and says that they give approval to others for more and more evil acts. We see this today with our legislatures accepting homosexual marriages and the teaching of it as acceptable in the schools.

Note also that Romans 1:32 points out that those who approve of such conduct are just as guilty as those who engage in it.

Uganda is trying to avoid becoming a third post with Sodom and Gomorrah.

I am pretty well convinced that homosexuality is a deviant choice. But regardless, even if I am wrong, it is still wrong - a sin.

Being a normal male, I am born with a high attraction towards women, but it would be sin to engage partners before marriage or during marriage.

So regardless of whether homosexuality is hereditary or not, the practicing of it is a sin.

“I wish Congress had the balls to rebuke Obama for this crap.”

The radical gays now control the US mass media on most levels. Anyone who dares to “have the balls” will be immediately destroyed by that media. There are already so many examples of this, that anyone thinking about doing so has to consider.

We lost the war, when we lost control of the language, folks.

“In a speech MP Mikhail Markelov (Fair Russia) called the move by the US State Department, President Obama and the European Union “an absurd attempt”, and suggested that the US punished all lower house members. “As long as they stress that MP Lyudmila Mizulina is on the blacklist, they should also impose sanctions on all 436 MPs who voted for the law that protects our children from gay propaganda,” Markelov noted.”

The real strategy will be for Kerry to offer President Museveni Five Hundred million or a full billion US taxpayer dollars to drop Uganda’s opposition to homosexuality and help Obama push his sexual perversion on the third world.

Now we find out the left thinks their culture is better than others and that they have the right to lecture them. Notice also that the left has no problem with Cracker Kerry going to educate da po ignant black man bout science an such. Rather degrading dont you think.

Uganda is approx. 86% Christian (majority Catholic) and 12% Muslim.

background: Ugandan president Yoweri Museveni’s reply to Obama in Feb 2014:

[I would like to discourage the USA government from taking the line that passing this law will “complicate our valued relationship” with the USA as President Obama said. Countries and Societies should relate with each other on the basis of mutual respect and independence in decision making.

“Valued relationship” cannot be sustainably maintained by one Society being subservient to another society. There are a myriad acts the societies in the West do that we frown on or even detest. We, however, never comment on those acts or make them preconditions for working with the West. Africans do not seek to impose their views on anybody. We do not want anybody to impose their views on us. This very debate was provoked by Western groups who come to our schools and try to recruit children into homosexuality. It is better to limit the damage rather than exacerbate it.”]
