Rosie the Riveter coming back in style for American women
Examiner ^ | February 11, 2014 | Martha

The next time there is the need for a plumber don’t be surprised if the person carrying a tool box is a woman. That is because American women are getting the message that a degree in Women’s Studies can be worthless while a plumber’s certification provides a good paying job.

History tells us that many women can perform skilled trade jobs as well as men. When the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941 millions of American men volunteered for the Air Force, Army, Navy, Marines and other services. Women immediately stepped up to the plate by taking on the jobs and built tanks, airplanes, guns and whatever else was needed for the war effort.

Yes, they sure did step up. I still don’t think women should be in combat roles or an electrician. I’m tired of having to do the hard things because they can’t or won’t.

A degree in woman studies is garbage though. There are lots of jobs in home automation for example too.

There was an episode of Married With Children where Al Bundy kept breaking his fridge, just because he liked to watch the repair woman in Daisy Dukes come and bend over while fixing it.

Well...except in odumbo’s Amerika women are only precious if they are lesbian, have killed one or two of their offspring and are currently smoking pot, unemployed, on food stamps, welfare and live in public housing. So something like getting a job — A blue collar job, well, in odumbo’s Amerika that sort of thing is considered very passé so why would women do it.

Good for them.

I hope everyone get this too. The idea that everyone could or should go to college is a myth. We need skilled people in various trades. Sex should not be ab issue if the person can do the job well.

I’m sorry but that just shows another front of the Republican Party’s “War on Women.” Forcing women to work, when Obamanocare means that women can have free healthcare to be at home taking care of the children they, for some insane reason decide not to prevent having or conceiving.

Just giving press secretary Carney’s response before you hear it on tv tonight.

(aka, sarcasm)

Among the interesting information I found while doing research for this article was a poster and a film (now on video) that recruited women to work in the factories that were producing products for the war effort. I included them with the article so I hope you all enjoyed seeing them.

“It should be illegal to give a man a job. /s”
//////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

Absolutely! Giving a man a job takes a job away from a woman who should be SUPPORTING a man. As I used to hear it said often, “It’s a sorry woman that can’t support one man.”

Before 1492, the Cherokee and other tribes occupied the Carolinas, the women did all the grunt work while the men fished, hunted or sat around the fire passing a pipe around and telling stories to each other about how great they were. There were no taxes, no jails, no politicians, no phones, not cell, landline or voip, there were no forms to fill out, there were no time clocks, no lawyers, the medicine man would come to your home any time he was needed and he was very cheap. All the food was “organic” and there was no manbearpig clown talking about global warming, only legends about a flood. Everyone was fit and trim and there was no need for diet pills. Anyone who challenged your right to keep and bear arms would have been rightfully considered insane. There were no mortgages, if you needed a new home you stopped fishing for a couple of days and built one from free materials that grew all around you.

Naturally the white man, being the total ass that he is was certain that he could improve on a backward system like that. Just look where that got us.

There is a reason the examiner is not a respected source, and this article is part of it.

You should be surprised if a female service plumber shows up, I have never seen a real one since they can’t really do the work, and Rosie the riverter was not the success that war time propaganda portrayed it as.

“”History tells us that many women can perform skilled trade jobs as well as men.”” is a lie.

There's no need for that embarrassing plumber's crack anymore. Try Duluth Trading Company

They make nice, sturdy, but stylish, clothes for men and women

Helen Hunt Jackson described the Cherokee this way.

“There is no instance in all history of a race of people passing in so short a space of time from the barbarous stage to the agricultural and civilized.”

When people have to bend down and get under things to do work at your house, they can sometimes have their clothes shift, your lawyer and doctors would also, if they were getting into the same positions.
