If this works out, the Global Warming/Climate Change alarmists will have to find a new scam. After all, such a fuel cannot put any additional carbon dioxide into the atmosphere than its creation took out.

If this is true the waste product should be nothing but pure oxygen. (CO2 + 2H20)>>(CH4+202

Gonna need a LOT of energy to do this...
However LENR or Thorium or even Zero Point or even Singularity energy may make this feasible so that the image of the future still includes gasoline powered vehicles...

Leave it to the Israelis to put the Arabs out of business.

the image of the future still includes gasoline powered vehicles...Which is good because we already have the auto factories, the gas stations, the tanker trucks, etc.

Out of Israel. Not palestine. Not saudi arabia. Not iran. Not Germany. Not Britain. Not France. Not Russia or China or India. Not even the USA. Not anywhere else in the world. Israel. Again.
Another reason why Israel MUST be destroyed./s

It would be deliciously ironic if Israel defeated its enemies with oil.

How many barrels of oil will be needed to make the electricity to run this process to generate one barrel oil oil?
To: GraceG
“Gonna need a LOT of energy to do this...”
True...but it’s hard to find a more compact and portable source of power than liquid fuels.

Nuclear power is a primary source in Israel.
But your point is well-taken, stored energy must come from somewhere.

This is news? In 1997, Robert Zubrin , Brian Frankie, and Tomoko Kito, working for Pioneer Astronautics wrote a
paper describing a process for producing methanol from carbon dioxide in the Martian atmosphere and hydrogen brought from Earth. The process is derived from the Sabatier reaction, which has been studied since 1910.I'm just surprised that it isn't more widely used.

Would solar energy be enough to power one of these facilities, especially out in a desert with lots of sunshine?
