Mark Levin's Plan is excellent but how long do we have? Secession, civil war? Only OBAMA wants that to happen.

"conservatives" "coalesce"

Frankly, I don't think I've ever seen it happen.

Personally, I'm happy with conservatives like my Senator Cruz disturbing business-as-usual in DC. Anything to stop or impede the liberals in both parties.

If you are looking for a vehicle, as I was, why not:

CONVENTIONOFSTATES.COM????

Please share your thoughts about getting on this bandwagon.

Secession seems like a good idea. We have two groups of people, roughly 50/50, with completely opposite ideas about how society should be organized, what the role of the government should be, what rights are retained by we the people, what the Constitution means, etc.

Neither side is going to change. So by staying together you are signing up for endless conflict, with one side always feeling dominated by the other.

I really don't care to make "them" see it my way. Just give me and those who think like me a place to run things our way without leftist interference and I'd be overjoyed.

There are way worse options than secession, such as total Dem domination of the Federal Government and the draconian legislation that is sure to follow from that.

We are too few to reassert control of the entire nation, we need to start focusing on specific geographies that we can set right. Places like LA, Detroit and Washington DC are not places that bring anything positive into our existence, we should be happy to turn them over to the USSA.

Only OBAMA wants that to happen.

Considering 66% of the military voted for Romney, Obama might quickly wish he hadn't wanted it to happen, if it ever does.....

Do you think 0bama will have the audacity to intentionally allow the US to default on our bond payments ?

Think about it from a purely political position.

If he feels comfortable enough that he can get away with blaming the GOP for the debacle that is sure to follow, why wouldn’t he do soo ?

He could create the havoc that will allow him the opportunity to come in as the Savior.

Do you think 0bama is going to fold on the debt ceiling or budget battle ?

Why should he fold ?

He wins if we go into default.

This is a HUGE opportunity for him to tip the balance.

An opportunity to send the entire world into an economic crisis while not being responsible since he will get the media’s backing.

To think that 0bama would be worried about his legacy seems a bit naive.

0bama wants to build his legacy in his 3rd term.

He’ll do it, because he knows that the MSM will help him blame the Republicans. Not as much for a third term for him, but a “third” term for another Democrat.

You are exactly right, which is why the crisis that the GOP has created was not well thought out. What did they think was going to happen? It’s all so predictable. It makes me wonder about the leadership of people like Ted Cruz, as much as I admire his beliefs as a general he seems inadequate. He led the troops into an ambush and has no plan to extract them.

He will do it simply because he can.

We are not dealing with someone that actually cares about our country, much less the people.

It's all politics, all the time.

Community organizers are "agitators" not "compromisers"

You have it exactly backwards. It is the beltway GOP non leadership that led us to this situation. The Dems were never going to agree to any deal. They want this crisis.

All Boehner & McConnell have done is help the Dems run out the clock with their invisible “leadership”. If the GOP had gone on offense and attacked vulnerable Dems they would have been in a much better position now. They have given them a pass and allowed the Dems to stay unified. That has nothing to do with Cruz. His game plan to pound the Dems with easy to understand themes was excellent. Boehner & McConnell are just too chicken to fight fire with fire.

If Obama wants this to happen, he’s clueless about what the actual result will be.

I read a piece by that Commie shill Katrina VanHues... something or other ... in the WaPo today. She actually has a clue about what’s really going on, and is pretty freaked out about it. Last two paras in her article are the ones that count ...

Beyond her points about undermining the credibility of the government, the fact is that a default on the debt is going to really mess up the continued funding of the welfare state. If the goal is to provoke a mass uprising through the elimination of benefits (thereby justfying martial law) the Obama Admin will quickly find itself in a no win scenario. There aren’t enough civillian law enforcement and military, combined, to hold down the inner city rioting. Let alone hold down the inner city rioting AND suppress the suburbs and rural areas. Which is where the money and food come from (respectively)

Personally, I don’t buy all this martial law claptrap for just that reason. Anyone with half a brain knows that nationwide martial law is an impossibility. Obama and his team may be Chicago Way thugs, but they’re survivors, not (figuratively speaking) suicidal.

It’s a high-stakes game of chicken, nothing more. It’s just as easy to see how Obama’s hubris is leading his side over a cliff as it is to think that Cruz led the GOP into an ambush. Truth is, we (probably) won’t really know who was right until it’s all over.

I will say that Cruz, etc, lost an even better opportunity in not anticipating that ObamaCare and the exchanges were going to crater like they did. In hindsight (always 20/20) it would have been better to fund the government and focus on the trainwreck. Something that shills lime Carney are saying now, but I was saying before Oct 1st ;-)

You're a finance guy, check this out.

A measure of credit risk, the one-month TED spread, turned negative for the first time since Bloomberg began collecting such data in 2001, meaning investors regard banks as a better credit risk than the U.S. government.

http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2013-10-15/oct-17-is-start-rather-than-finish-of-debt-limit-crisis-endgame.html The TED Spread is the difference between 3 month LIBOR and 3 month Treasuries.

The Chart below reflects the credit risk between "Interbank Lending" (banks lending to each other) and "US Govt lending". And it is calculated under the assumption that US Govt debt is "ALWAYS" safer than that of private banks. We saw a huge spike in this spread well before the banking crisis in 1989 and an initial spike prior to the 1987 market crash. We saw a huge spike again in 2007, well before the financial crisis in 2008.

The Inverse is happening now.

The data "CANNOT" account for it, and as a result, it went "Negative".

To take over a country, control of the media must be achieved. The American haters have done that. The only way to stop them would be to take the media back. Any suggestions on how that could be done?

I don’t believe obama has any idea about what is happening. He’s told what to say and he says it. Now, he wants the country destroyed. But it won’t be his thinking that destroys it.

I am working on a plan. It can be done in a legal way that has -never- been broached by conservatives. I have not finished writing it but will soon.
