Bob Owens has supported George Zimmerman against the modern lynch mob for quite a while:

I suspect that his comment was meant as humor. Such is always a dangerous thing to do in print.

That was probably what happened to it. It seemed very good to be rid of the brass weight, the mags were ready plastic boxes - no loading or anything, and very few moving parts.

It was touted as basically a tanker’s weapon, small as a sidearm and with performace like top assault rifle.

Are you there? We have friends with a loft condo downtown, we love visiting. They intend to retire there.

Am going to try to get over there sometime in the next few months.

I was suckered. I should have realized if you posted it, the guy is OK. My apologies, Mr. Clemons....

Or even better my Keltec PMR 30 with a 30 round magazine. I don’t leave home without it. :-)

No apology necessary. Bob Owens was suckered by the MSM at the start... and he owned up to it.

I post stuff from people I disagree with at times.

Actually, anyone obtuse enough to be anywhere near New York deserves what they get, I just hate to see innocent kids put at risk.

In all my life around large carnivorous creatures there has been no place where I was happier to be armed than in NYC.

In a situation like this NEVER STOP. Even if you have to rock that car back and forth 3 or 4 feet from forward to reverse. Never let them get to a point where they can use your position against you.

totally agree. if you have to drive for hours do it.

I had a .357 #3 Remington clone carried in a boot holster, only 2 shots but it always went bang when you pulled the trigger.

The Remington clones actually weren't bad if you took care of them.

rewrite; 18.5 inch pump shotgun with pistol grip loaded with 12 ga 00 buckshot. My Mossberg Maverick holds 6 in the tube mag and 1 in the chamber. 2 rounds fired into the swarm will disperse the rest and you still have 5 rounds for any bold, suicidal ones. A 00 buck shell that holds 9 9mm pellets. You have to be very suicidal to think you will walk away from the fight wound free.

Stupidest thing I ever did was take this really good looking girl out jogging one day in downtown Mogadishu. This was just before the wheels came off in the late ‘80s.

Anyway, she was wearing a skimpy top and short shorts, and I was not thinking clearly, because it was a Friday afternoon, and we were going right past the front door of the Grand Mosque.

We got about two blocks past the mosque before the mob formed on all sides and the rocks started flying. I had previously made a study of the alleys of the nearby slum, so I knew that the four foot wide alleyway to our right transited the slum and left off across the street from our apartment building.

I pushed the girl down the alley and told her to run for her life. I stayed three steps behind her and about ten steps ahead of the mob, all the way home.

If we had not moved at that moment, we would have been dead, or worse. A mob wants to immobilized you. Don’t let it happen. Speed = Life.

A folding stock carbine version of Saiga or Vepr - an AK in 12 ga layout.
10 round magazine + buckshot is an effective overkill for biker gang.

More ammo gives more options, assumptions on how many rounds one needs is daydreaming. Situations can be fluid, usually numerous attackers, etc.. but pistols are weak anyway, more effective with a long arm...and the mentality of one’s small mouse gun a magical totem to ward off evil is more dangerous fantasy, as many people carry tiny gun for comfort. Another option is another piece in the car with more ammo.

My opinion the optimum carry is a handgun at least big enough one you can handle proficiently accurately and is reliable with high capacity to shoot attacker(s) into the ground, including suppression fire for mobs, biker mobs who are usually armed. Of course driving the car is most effective weapon.

I went jogging/running today with baby Glock 26, extra 17rd mag, 4 inch fixed blade, while black bag of dirty tricks in vehicle had 3 33rd happy sticks, 2 15rd mags, folder, burner phone, trauma kit, utility tool. More fixed blades and bat also in vehicle.
