How Screwed-Up Is It That I HATE Our President While Increasingly Nodding in Agreement with Putin?

Or, why can't we have a leader who
knows what freaking side he's on?

And it's not just Syria: this summer, Vladimir Putin
-currently the Russian president- addressed the legislature (Duma) with a speech re. tensions with minorities in Russia...

"In Russia, we live like Russians.

Any minority, from anywhere, if it wants to live in Russia, to work and eat in Russia, should speak Russian, and should respect the Russian laws.

If they prefer Sharia Law and live the life of Muslims, then we advise them to go to those places where that's the state law.

Russia does not need Muslim minorities. Minorities need Russia, and we will not grant them special privileges, or try to change our laws to fit their desires, no matter how loud they yell 'discrimination'.

We will not tolerate disrespect of our Russian culture. We better learn from the suicides of America, England, Holland and France, if we are to survive as a nation.

The muslims are taking over those countries and they will not take over Russia. The Russian customs and traditions are not compatible with the lack of culture or the primitive way of Sharia Law and Muslims.

When this honorable legislative body thinks of creating new laws, it should have in mind the Russian national interest first, observing that the Muslims minorities
are not Russians."

(politicians in the Duma gave Putin a five minute standing ovation...)

> People from those countries are also often disgusted with how easily Americans are duped by the totalitarianism of socialism. They also have a keen, unromanticized take on Putin and his government.

Disgusted because they lived and experienced it 24/7 and know its inherent evils. If their view of the American people is that of the liberal / progressive side they must think we’re incredibly stupid and naive and I don’t blame them.

I think it’s not so much a “liking” Putin but admiring a leader that loves his country and wants it to succeed and attain it’s lost luster. He’s more pragmatic than our president and accepts the economic realities in front of him.
Unlike Barry who hates the country and wants to bring it down. Unlike Choomer-in chief Barry that still believes in the pot of gold at the end of the communist rainbow which is what they discussed in the faculty lounge at Columbia.

You know where Putin stands whereas, Barry stands on the golf course surrounded by sycophants and treats his military like a Tonka toy set like Lil Kim in NoKo.

What they have in common is their hatred of their domestic political opposition.

Obama hates America, which is why he is “fundamentally transforming” it.

He IS the enemy, which is why we find him siding with America’s enemies and destroying long held alliances.

I agree with you. I hate that SOB more than you know. Though maybe you like Putin more because he’s everything our Faux president is not.Though I never would have expected a dictator to be running things in the United States so soon.

Obama sees his role as advancing a one world government where the voice, power and prestige of all the western nations is greatly reduced. He’d probably consider at top position of the UN as a greater honor and more prestigious than POTUS. He doesn’t believe in his oath of office and is therefore treasonous and below contempt.

Putin may be megalomanic, ruthless, and power hungry (aren’t they all?) and motivated to patriotism primarily to advance his personal power, but at least does want to see his country strong, influential, and a force to respected, and if it comes to it, downright feared.

My theory is that both of our intelligence services were so effective that we are literally switching places.

USA has momentum towards atheist socialism. Exactly what the soviets were trying to do.

Russia has momentum towards a Christianized free market. Exactly what the USA was trying to accomplish.

Momentum can be reversed but it would take something drastic since so many of our citizens are programmed into socialism.

Strange times...

I spent a couple of days in Prague. While we were there, we saw a huge, massive, rally, protesting Fidel Castro. Gotta love the Czechs.

I think he recognizes the void in leadership Obama has left. It’s almost as if Putin if purposely trying to fill in and appeal to American patriots.

I don’t know. I think Putin like the US more than Obama does.

On occasion, I would take the train up to Prague. It is a nice city. My Philippine wife is chomping at the bit for me to take us to Europe. I saw that she had been on a Czech government web site concerning an EU visa.

Clearly you desire a master who will rule you with a strong hand.

I'm a free man.

I have no use for Obamas or Putins.

It is pretty screwed up, but not nearly as screwed up as the voters who voted for Obama, twice.

I’m liking this guy more and more and I don’t like that a bit.

Never in my mind did I ever expect this to happen.
