Armed Russian officials have boarded a Greenpeace ship and arrested activists, including six Britons, protesting against oil drilling in the Arctic, according to the environmental group. The Arctic Sunrise is in the remote Pechora Sea in the Russian Arctic, near to Russian oil company Gazprom's Prirazlomnaya oil platform to try and prevent attempts to drill for oil in the region.
Greenpeace said the Russian coastguard abseiled onto the Arctic Sunrise from helicopters and arrested 25 protesters on-board, including six UK nationals.

Hope Putin lives up to his alleged “thug” description by many libs and throws all these Greenpeace activists in a nice Russian jail and throws the key away for about a year.
They stopped being activists when they tried to scale the oil platform, that is when they became criminals or pirates or saboteurs.

Messing with the oil will get the Russian mafia onto Greenpeace if Putin doesn’t get them first.
Bingo.....it stopped being “peaceful protest” when they attempted to
board the oil platform and prevent it from operating. At that point they
became trespassers and criminals. A year or two in a Russian jail will
take the starch out of most of them.
Don’t you just love it when annoying, disruptive moonbats get stepped on?
Gosh! If this true then --- well, pirates are at risk of being boarded, captured, and/or killed wherever they do their pirating. The Somalis seem to have been suppressed- at least we hear of them no more. It is time the Green pirates were also suppressed.
