Will someone please take that political shovel from Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott so he can stop digging? Hes getting deeper and deeper into a hole by offending people he doesnt have to in order to secure his position with the right-wing Republican base, a group he needs to win any primary election. But what Im afraid he doesnt realize is that his latest statements and actions may be energizing people in the state beyond that base, especially Democrats who have been waiting a long time for something to rejoice about in statewide elections. When was the last time you heard Texans singing Happy Days Are Here Again? Well, some are ready to strike up the band and start belting that tune, particularly if state Sen. Wendy Davis, D-Fort Worth, announces she will run for governor against the attorney general. It was bad enough that Abbott, after the Supreme Court struck down a section of the Voting Rights Act, quickly announced that the Texas voter ID law was back in effect, and then attacked the president and the U.S. attorney general when they vowed to seek a remedy through the courts. Rep. Marc Veasey, D-Fort Worth, sued the state to block implementation of the voter ID law, and on Tuesday Dallas County Commissioners voted to join that suit to protect citizens in that county where more than 200,000 voters dont have the identification required by the state law. Abbott made another decision recently that surprised practically everyone in Texas when he joined with the federal government and five other states in opposing the merger of US Airways and Fort Worth-based American Airlines.

Among his first posts was an attack on Abbott with the Karl Rove runs Abbott crap. I have been on this grill guy from the beginning. He needs to clean his grill with heavy duty bleach.
Thanks for your post.
That is another untruth. I heard Perry interviewed and he said he is taking no side in the election.
Your saying that makes no sense. Abbott doesn't have to deal with anyone to sign up to run for governor and, as of this date, he does not have Perry's blessing and I don't think he wants it, anyway. Abbott is his own man. He will win the office under his own steam, not someone else’s.
Abbott has been instrumental in poking the Feds eye on 10th amendment rights.
Perry often gets the credit, but Greg has done the work.
I don’t care if they are working in concert.
I like what they are doing.
A Freeper has collected all my postings and I did mention this issue a few months ago. The Perry citation is in reference to a Texas Tribune article. By the way, after Perry announced his resignation I received an email from Abbott’s campaign staff asking me to e-Sign a “Thank You” card for Perry’s so-called “wonderful service” as govenor.
“You know other do not always tell the truth.
Look at The Liar in Chief.”
Certainly people lie, but grill guy isn’t going to get away with untruths about Abbott.
I don’t like the word, liar, and have seldom used it, but it fits here and I had to use it. These untruths about Abbott are egregious and I will point them out every time.
Fair enough.
“I will never post a comment to you (TexGrill) again.” I do recall someone saying that to me a few months ago. Marcella, does that statement sound familiar to you?
Bob Ray Sanders is a moron’s moron
He has been a fine governor for this state. Every state office is held by a Republican, we have a Republican majority in the house and senate and Perry has made sure our budget is balanced and we have money in the bank and he has been instrumental to bring business into Texas.
Go ahead and dump on Perry, too as you don't seem to like anything about our state except old Pauken who lost every race for office he ran. He wasn't electable then and he isn't now. I hope you stay in China.
I prefer China too. I can enjoy lower taxes and a more free market business environment. Yes Pauken can bring such capitalist ideas to Texas too, but Rino Abbott has his big campaign war chest and he’s gonna keep the US a beacon of socialism for the next few years.
Bob Ray (Holder's People) Sanders
Not only is he an extreme leftist, but BRS is a big fan of this loon:
Abbott’s a socialist because you are getting taxed?
I have a pal that is a multimillionaire living in Tx but working in China.
Isn’t that Obamas Secret Agent? DR?
Cool! Does your friend work in Beijing? I’m a member of a Texas ex-pats group in Beijing and we like to go to BBQ joints. Maybe he could join us. Most of the members in our group are Republicans too (Free market supporters).
Email sent.
No guarantees.
“It was bad enough that Abbott, after the Supreme Court struck down a section of the Voting Rights Act, quickly announced that the Texas voter ID law was back in effect, and then attacked the president and the U.S. attorney general when they vowed to seek a remedy through the courts.”
Woo hoo! Go Abbott!!
This guy is my oldest friend.
Don’t eff with him.
Yes, I said that and didn't post to you again on that thread. Every night you post from China, and I pass them by. There was one that was relevant and I posted to someone on that thread, but not to you.
Now, you come back with two more “articles” against our attorney general and our governor and I won't let those pass. I am actually posting to the people on this thread to let them know you have an agenda against our state, our governor and our attorney general. So, I changed this post to make it sent to them so it is clear the message is to them to enlighten them about your agenda. If you ever come back to the states, choose New York or Mass.
“Choose New York or Mass.” Perhaps you gotta point there. If Abbott becomes governor he would turn the entire state into the Land of Chris Christie Rinos. I would hate to be in Texas when that happens.
