Cornyn may have an R after his name, but he is by far the Democrat’s best asset in the Senate, and the worst Senator of all 100, which says a lot. The Republicans would have a majority in the Senate if he hadn’t deliberately tried to tank Senate races. His kind of Republicans are Specter, Chaffee, and Crist. He was head of the NRSC and he worked behind the scenes to make Republicans lose. The fact that Texas allows him to represent him is a terrible black mark on the state. He is infinitely worse than McCain.

“Yes, Abbott received and endorsement from Chris Christie, so that makes him unbeatable ... Sarc.”

Why don't you post that endorsement for all to see? Is that another lie?

Christie does not live in this state so an endorsement from him means nothing - post that endorsement to prove Christie did something right for a change.

John Cornyn is an evil man. The only reason the Republicans didn’t win a majority in the Senate is because he deliberately sabotaged several races. (He tried on several other) Can you deny any of that? Texas would be better off having an actual Democrat in the Senate, because they wouldn’t be able to run the Senate efforts as a Democrat fifth column in the GOP.

It’s already trending that way, but the second Congress passes the immigration bill, Republicans will have little or no advantage among voters. They are probably already figuring ways to maximize the vote.

Why doesn’t Pauken get blackballed by the party for this? He is obviously working for the Democrats.

“The only reason the Republicans didn’t win a majority in the Senate is because he deliberately sabotaged several races.”

Why don't you post that evidence? If you are going to say that, you should back it up with proof.

>> John Cornyn is an evil man.

He’s lame, and ineffectual, and deserves a primary. But evil? no.

>> The only reason the Republicans didn’t win a majority in the Senate is because he deliberately sabotaged several races. (He tried on several other) Can you deny any of that?

It’s *YOUR* claim. Can you *prove* any of that?

>> Texas would be better off having an actual Democrat in the Senate, because they wouldn’t be able to run the Senate efforts as a Democrat fifth column in the GOP.

Horse shit. I’ll say it again: where are YOU from, boy?

Perhaps the Deomcrats need a Pro-Life Conservative Catholic candidate who supports the 2nd Amendment, opposes excessive regulations from the EPA, favors lower taxes and less business regulations, while fighting the spread of illegal immigration in Texas. However, Pauken contines to stay in the Republican Party to fight RINOs. By the way, his campaign Website shows his strong support for conservative values:

If the lady candidates can’t take the heat, maybe they should go back to the kitchen.

This article makes him sounds like the ultimate RINO. He’s saying that if they nominate a conservative, Wendy Davis will win, so they need to nominate an ultra moderate candidate? If he thinks Republicans are so terrible, why doesn’t he become a Democrat?

I don’t think the Democrats would support a candidate who has Pauken’s conservative credentials. Are there any Dinos?

He is not ineffectual at all.

Are you seriously telling me you didn't read any articles on Free Republic in 2010. For example, there were article all over the place that Specter and Crist were his top two candidates. If you can't bother to read, I can't make up for this.

You defend him all you want, but it's a fool's errand.

Of all the contortions you are going to defend him, explain this:

2010 was a wave election. As lousy as the GOP is, they won overwhelmingly in the election. But mysteriously, the flopped in the Senate where Mr. Champion of Specter and Crist is. It's almost impossible to buck a wave election, even if your are incompetent. How do you explain that? Two elections cycles in a row he monumentally botched the Republican senate campaign.

It’s already trending that way

Texas is more Republican than it has ever been, presidentially Obama got 41% recently (44% in 2008), that is a margin that isn't going to be made up in 4 years, but within the state government, the republicans have a great amount of recent gains.

Re Cornyn - You are preaching to the choir. I only hope there is someone who decides to run against him that we can all get behind. It is going to take somebody who is able to amass a huge war chest and lots of boots on the ground, someone like an 8 foot tall version of Cruz. Cornyn has built his own empire in D.C. and he will not go down easily.

There were enough candidates in 2012 so that the vote could be split and force Dewhurst into a runoff. Don’t see that happening in 2014. Neither I nor most of the people I know will ever vote for Cornyn again under any circumstances.

Will Tom Pauken endorse Wendy Davis if he loses the primary? Because he is running a loser strategy if all he does is attack Abbott and say things like this headline.

Do you know anything about the primaries? Candidates fight to be nominated for their Party. That means they attack their candidates, who are either fellow Republicans or Democrats. Once the candidate wins the nomination from his Party, he can then attack the cnadidate from the oppossing Party. Just keeping you updated on basic rules of democracy in the USA.

The way to win conservative votes is to attack leftists.
