Levin has stated taxes should be paid within a few weeks of the elections, this in itself would help to keep any federal taxes low, April 15th was chosen as a tax day as it is one of the furthest days from election days, Mark Levin’s idea would reverse that...

Exactly correct, the progressive income tax must be abolished!

Just as I suspected. You haven’t read the book. I suggest you read all of his books before you pass judgement on one part of his proposal. You know nothing of what you suppose to speak of. You aren’t fit to wipe his boots.

I have been promoting our constitution's original tax plan for almost 30 years.

Thanks, eh? When all else fails, try reading the directions. Amazing things often happen.

Boiling down the rhetoric as simply as possible, Mark Levin promotes a flat tax (15%) And you’re promoting a consumption tax, which is pretty much what the Fair Tax is.

Which is better? Beats me. When we have the states-led Convention (the Congress will never do it), I’d suggest two competing amendments. And we can decide then.

Quoting from Mark's proposed amendment: SECTION 2: The deadline for filing federal income tax returns shall be the day before the date set for elections to federal office. (Page 75 in the book.)

Brilliant.

One can surmise that Congress realized that using Article I Section 8, a 'naturalization' provision, to affect Article II Section I, 'natural born citizen' and its presidential eligibility stipulation, was seen to be the conflict that it is.

You can "surmise" all you want, but you offer no evidence about what Congress was thinking in 1790 and 1795. There are other logical possible explanations.

Were the 1790 Act not repealed, Congress could redefine who was eligible to be president.

No not at all.

In one of Mark Levin's Liberty Amendments he promotes keeping alive taxes calculated from profits, gains and other incomes.

And of course you document this claim with a direct quote from Levin, right???

Levin is not calling for a Constitutional Convention!

“It cannot be a coincidence that the media and Republican movers float one naturalized citizen after another, Jindal, Haley, Rubio, Cruz, for 2016 when we have so many who are natural born.”

You rant in favor of precision, and then you write this nonsense. Neither Cruz, nor Haley, nor Rubio, nor Jindal is a naturalized citizen. Each and every one of them was a citizen at birth.

No.

Levin proposes that federal taxes be paid the day before election day.

Since “the rich” are no longer the only people who use imported articles, what Jefferson concluded from that fact is no longer necessarily true.

I am for the FAIR Tax. It would “penalize” “the rich” by taxing only NEW consumer goods.

If its calculated on income, the takers still have no skin in the game. Maybe I lack the necessary understanding, but, everyone consumes, so I'd like to see a consumption tax ( like I don't a,ready, LOL!)

There is no similarity to our Constitution's original tax plan and the "fairtax" (H.R.25) which is another trap, a trap which proposes to lay and collect two new taxes ( a 23 percent across the board tax upon the sale of articles of consumption and another 23 percent tax upon the sale of labor which every working person has in their labor) while keeping alive Congress’ power to lay and collect taxes calculated from profits, gains and other incomes.

JWK

Are we really to believe the founder of fairtax.org., Leo E. Linbeck Jr. and Herman Cain, both former ringleaders of the federal reserve banking cartel which plunders our national treasury?

I suspect you have never read H.R. 25, the alleged fairtax.

I disagree. The intent for having the income tax paid on April 15 was to give each taxpayer 4.5 months to get the books in balance and calculate the just due. Look at business with other than calendar fiscals years and you'll see this interval repeated.

Want to get the payment of the tax more in line with the elections? Force all the citizens to go onto a July fiscal year instead of a January fiscal year. That will make the tax bill fall on November 15.
