CNN Debuts Crossfire Return on Anniversary of Co-Host Van Jones Rally Cheering 9/11 Attacks

This week marks twelve years since the al Qaeda terror attacks on America on September 11, 2001. It also marks the anniversary of a rally held the day after the attacks by anti-American leftist Anthony K. “Van” Jones in Oakland, California that cheered the attacks. CNN has made Jones, who went on to infamy as an Obama administration appointee, a co-host of the reboot of Crossfire that debuts this week.

As the country reeled from the sneak attack that murdered nearly 3,000 people through the use of four passenger planes hijacked by terrorists under the orders of Osama bin Laden and flown into the World Trade Center in New York, the Pentagon and a field in Pennsylvania, Van Jones, working through his Ella Baker Center, quickly organized a rally held the next day that literally cheered the attacks.

One speaker at the Van Jones rally actually called the 9/11 terrorists “heroes”:

“We’re always seeing America dropping bombs on people. Now the chicken is coming home to roost, as Malcolm say. (Cheers from the crowd.) We gotta deal with it. They got people so dedicated they gonna commit suicide to make their point. We gotta understand there’s a war going on that people are fighting for their own life, for their land. Right? We gotta support those people. We cannot let the lies of the media take our spirits down. We don’t want to see our people dying, innocent people dying. But in fighting a war, they don’t have the army to fight and block our warfare with the American people. Don’t call them cowards. They’re heroes that died. And they’re the people that we have to support in this case. The people of color are rising here and we gotta understand that. I just want to say we gotta support and don’t let this thing turn your spirits down. Turn ‘em up!”

Another speaker cheered the attack on the Pentagon:

But when we knew what those places represented, we were kind of also glad that there’s a place called the Pentagon where, where, military strategies which have killed millions of people around the face of the world (unintelligible). We know, to see that place burnin’, there was some satisfaction to it.”

Jones’ remarks at the rally were only partially quoted, however he was quoted praising the speakers as “wise” and saying America deserved the attacks:

“Everyone should be as wise as these inner-city youth here today. We all have more in common with the working people of the earth than we do with George Bush or Colin Powell.”

“The bombs the government drops in Iraq are the bombs that blew up in New York City. The US cannot bomb its way out of this one. Safety at home requires justice abroad.”

“It’s the bombs that the government has been dropping around the world that are now blowing up inside the U.S. borders.”

“We’ve got something stronger than bombs, we have solidarity. That dream of revolutionary change is stronger than bombs.”

If one of Jones’ conservative co-hosts on the new Crossfire, say S.E. Cupp, had hosted a neo-Nazi rally the day after 9/11 that cheered the attacks as an assault on the Jewish bankers of New York, there is no chance CNN would give her a job—and rightly so. But when it’s a self-described communist who said America deserved the attack and whose rally celebrated the murder of Americans, CNN says welcome aboard, comrade!

I find it odd that even CNN would hire an admitted communist. They must really be desperate. What are they trying to do, steal viewers from MSNBC?

0bama hates the USA as much as this marxist.

Laugh at Van Jones if you like. This guy is extreme-left, but he is very smart. A formidable opponent. Beck knew what he was doing when he tried to kneecap him. I am not a fan of giving him hours and hours of TV airtime.

I watched it. Who is the lady there that kept breaking in when Newt or Paul spoke? She let Menendez filibuster the whole time.

They are obviously excited about the Russians coming in and claiming that Obama being strong caused this.

Are these people that naïve?

Russians are liars. They will promise anything, but will never do anything that is not in their interest.

I suspect that Putin has intelligence that Obama has decided to strike Syria and he figures he’ll throw this at Obama KNOWING that Obama will find some way to attack Syria. Putin has taken the rug away from him.
