Remember the original story behind her first wedding ring as she described it in Going Rogue, and then all the lib lies in 2009 about her supposedly throwing it in the lake and divorcing Todd?

No, refresh our memories about the first wedding ring.

They are so amazingly NORMAL, compared to the Freak Show we have to witness in DC every d@mn day! I adore them both! :)

It would look more candid if they were dancing in their bathing suits

Good move Todd. That original has been a great story but it was time to step up. Love it!

When they first got married back in the 1980s, they were so poor that the best they could do was a cheap $35 wedding ring. Years later after she and Todd started making steady incomes, she refused to buy another one because as far as she was concerned, it wasn't the nickle metal in the ring that counted, but its symbolism.
During the 2008 campaign and afterward, she stopped wearing it because she was shaking so many hands that her ring finger was getting sore and swollen, much like what Abraham Lincoln and Teddy Roosevelt complained about during their presidential reception lines.
So she stopped wearing it for a while, at which point Levi Johnston and the Alaska ankle biters started spreading the nasty lie that Todd was cheating on her with prostitutes, that they were arguing incessantly, that they were divorcing, and that just before she resigned as governor, she angrily took it off and hurled it into the lake in front of their house.
So that's why Todd's gift is so special here.

Thanks - you made me laugh out loud with that one....and then I got nauseous thinking back to that disgusting staged scene with those two vile traitors....so much for the laugh....
To: onedoug
I do, but I though someone could give me a thumbnail review of the incident.

It’s mind-boggling, the number of ludicrous lies that have been spread about Palin, over these past few years.

Thank you. BTW, my ring cost $35 at Marshall Field’s in 1959. Of course that was a chunky gold band in those days, and I’m still wearing it. We couldn’t afford to have them engraved, however, and couldn’t decide how we wanted them engraved so we just forgot about it. We finally got them engraved in 1994 with just one word — “Forever” and our initials and the date.

Yikes. I got hung up there and had to reboot my computer.
