Saw these on Vsauce2 just now and thought they were pretty cool. Apparently these skateboard wheels have LEDs in them that light up when the wheels spin. The LEDs have a 100,000 hour life expectancy and there are no batteries. The spinning of the wheels generates the current necessary. I have no idea how durable they are, though.
The website says a set of 4 wheels is $40. A whole board is $100. I'm not gonna link directly.
I will put a picture or two for people who don't YouTube.
Well... I’ll stick with my Mercedes.
If it was not old school shape, I would tell my son!
I skate, and Imma get these..! ^_^
I think you can buy just the wheels and put them on any board. Unless you the wheel shape is what you meant. Sorry, I don’t know much about skateboarding. I just thought they were interesting.
‘Fess up, you don’t care about the wheels at all, you just wanted us to hear the music.
I thought of that after I posted. lol I think he will think I am nuts, but I sent the link to him anyway. I may have to send to my step-grandson too.
Oh no it just the wheels though I think the music was a good choice.
I still wonder how much punishment they can take. LEDs are tough and all but I notice they’re not showing any moves that really beat on them, just a lot of smooth rolling.
Not allowed to skate after dark in my town. :(
Suckage.
Something similar for bicycle wheels by a company called Monkeylectric.

If its not 7 ply maple its a novelty item.
Maple curb cruiser board, only way to go.
LED lights are very durable. They should be able to stand up to most skateboarding antics, with the exception of the most brutal ones.
Looks like my old 70s Grentech on acid.
That would be Grentec
Why didn’t they have cool toys like that when WE were kids?!?!
