Obama’s Magical Misery Tour: Rising Insurance Premiums, Part-time Jobs And Declining Income

President Obama will be taking his economic message to the people in his luxury bus. Better known as “The Magical Misery Tour.”

The President will be trying to pressure Congress to adopt his proposals for boosting middle-class jobs.

1) Reducing the corporate tax rate that businesses pay in exchange for using some government money for infrastructure projects.

2) Pass a bill funding the government for the next fiscal year and a White House request to raise the Federal debt limit.

So President Obama is clinging to the Keynesian notion of the government trying to spend the way to propserity …. by borrowing more and more money. Even as The Federal Reserve is considering buying LESS Treasuries and Agency mortgage-backed securities.

What has happened under President Obama’s watch that make us believe in the more of MORE government spending and MORE debt?

1. 7 out of 10 jobs created since January 2009 have been part-time. Only 30% have been full-time.

2. Mortgage purchase applications have been stuck in a rut at 1996 levels despite house prices skyrocketing recently.

3. Median household income in real terms has fallen since January 2009.

4. Obamacare healthcare premiums are skyrocketing for young men.

All this misery despite an almost additional $7 trillion in Federal debt since Q4 2008.

To be sure, the housing bubble and crash really took the wind out the economy. But President Obama’s preference for massive regulatory leviathan (Dodd-Frank, Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, EPA, Obamacare) and tax increases have done considerable damage in terms of scaring businesses … and citizens. That is not a good recipe for economic recovery.

Neither is a “Buy to Rent” housing recovery.

More of the same Keynesian policies of big government spending and borrowing has resulted in misery for millions of Americans. That is why this will be “A Magical Misery Tour.”

Since you apparently can’t learn how to post Tony Sanders articles with the graphs and since the graphs MAKE the article, why do you even bother posting?

Better to just post a link to his article.

No, it’s his own blog.
He omits the charts because he wants hits.

Or either he is too limited to master the most basic of HTML.

When I posted my satire, HG never complained because I posted it all, and I don’t even think he likes satire.

He’s continuing what special constituents and their politicians have brought us since the early ‘70s.

I think this is a possibility.

The best policy might be to just ignore posts from whitedog57.
