The most Creative People I know are so ADD, DADD that it is hard for them to mingle with everyone else and make friends. You have to know them when they are up, down and on meds.

TT

(I’m some kinda ADD Magnet)

Quite a generic one size fts all list they have there. I have quite a few of those traits myself. Just another self professed “expert” writing a blog for attention.

Stereotyping, creative people make the cool stuff, and think on a totally higher level than most so called normal people. What is normal anyway?

I usually paint the walls & ceilings in different colors but this time I just finished painting everything polar white. That being creative thing gets old.

I am extremely creative but selectively ADD :). (I used to work as a director in corporate USA) you go ADD in the power crowd and they eat you for lunch. Thus I learned to reign it all in for 12 hours a day and let my freak flag fly on the weekends.

Now I am fully time singer, song writer, pianist and damn the discipline it takes to be a true success allows once again for selective ADD moments. Ironic. It does mention the discipline it takes in the article. My mom is ADD squared and then pi that. WHen she visits it is like having a two-three year old in the house and she is 83!

You are a magnet for the ADDs aye? We should get along famously!!

Creative implies liberal; liberal usually implies atheist in this day and age.

In the entertainment industry I have found that those who have the word “creative” in their job title never have a creative atom in their bodies.

That's right. Creative people have talent that they can neither fully explain nor teach very well. They just do things.

What an uninspired checklist, clearly written by an aspiring creative who just can’t quite get a handle on it.

This reminds me of nothing so much as a corporate fad of almost twenty years ago, a program that puportedly would teach anyone to think out of the box. It had checklists and numerous rules for successful out of the box thinking, even a worksheet with boxes on it so you could organize your thoughts into out of the box thoughts.

In my experience, the best creative ideas arise unbidden and nearly whole, as if your subconscious has been chewing on it for a while, btw.
