Military Takes Stern Measures to Ensure Loyalty
Semi-News/Semi-Satire ^ | 15 June 2013 | John Semmens

Concerned that US troops may have conflicting loyalties, top brass is cracking down on “overt displays of behaviors conducive to a break down in discipline.”

By way of making an example, Master Sgt. Nathan Sommers, a 25-year Army veteran based at Fort Myer in Washington, D.C., is facing formal charges for “a litany of offensive behaviors.” The bad behavior includes his choice of reading material—conservative and critical of the Obama Administration—and his choice of menu—sandwiches from Chik-Fil-A—at a party he threw celebrating his promotion to Master Sergeant. Chik-Fil-A is the restaurant famous for its owners views on marriage.

“The Army must be 100% behind its Commander-in-Chief,” declared Army spokesman Major Hardin Saddler. “The President needs to be able to feel comfortable that the troops can be counted upon to carry out his orders without qualms or reservations. Sgt. Sommers has indicated that his reliability in this regard is subject to question. While we concede that it is likely Sommers is too far gone to be reclaimed, it is still possible that we can influence the behavior of other soldiers by how we handle his transgressions now.”

In a bid to provide some legal protection for freedom of conscience for US troops, Representative John Fleming (R-La) has introduced an amendment to the National Defense Authorization Act that would bar the Army from retaliating against soldiers for “actions and speech that reflect the conscience, moral, principles or religious beliefs of the individual.”

The Obama Administration opposes Fleming’s amendment on the grounds that it would have a “significant adverse effect on good order, discipline, morale, and mission accomplishment. Allowing troops to exercise their own sense of conscience undermines the unquestioning obedience that is necessary for a well-disciplined army.”

I am a veteran, but I have told my son, not to go into the military. I have almost reached a point where I think the country is not worth defending anymore. I feel all they are doing, is making it safer for the Obamanites to proliferate. Screw the Obamanites.

I sadly agree. Why defend a bunch of leaches {50%} who don’t give a damn and wouldn’t appreciate it anyway. I’m definitely no longer in solidarity with about 50% of those who inhabit this land. In fact I’m looking on them as the enemy.

I read this thinking it was satire. Sadly, it wasn’t.

I have no doubt that this is true. I am pretty sure those who are left, may eagerly fire on American civilians. I hope I am wrong, but I think they will.

My cousin says she is going to get out as soon as she gets back. The harder the politicians try to control the military the more leaks and problems they cause by unanticipated circumstances.

In fact I’m looking on them as the enemy.

That is because they ARE the enemy.

I hope no one takes your post as an excuse to track down who your cousin is and persecute her.

“The Army must be 100% behind its Commander-in-Chief,” declared Army spokesman Major Hardin Saddler.

When you have sworn to preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic, and the Commander-in-Chief turns out to be the number one domestic enemy of that Constitution, what do you do?

Yep. My next door neighbor has tons of Obama stickers. Needless to say, I do not even acknowledge their presence when I see them. I wonder if they even understand why?

Maybe they should try to instill some discipline up the ladder rather than down the ladder?

I told this story yesterday but it bears repeating: My uncle was a flying chief in WW2 on PBYs. A few years ago I was complaining about something His Excellency with the support of the supposed alternative party was doing. His comment was I have come to believe I was shooting at the wrong enemy in WW2. I had never heard him utter anything anti US but he had finally reached the breaking point. Sad.

I too am a vet and would never go back in and would not recommend service now to anyone I viewed as a patriot albeit I owe a lot to the military. I believe it is becoming a force against its heritage and will continue to move in that direction especially as long as we have the enigma as president and he continues packing senior leadership with his asskissers.

They don’t see or understand anything because they have their heads up 0bama’s butt. No, those types don’t have a clue. Most people walk around in a stupor.

Any decent officers sitting on his court martial will throw these charges out! Eating sandwiches from Chik-Fil-A? Give me a break! If they want him to stay away from there, then they should take steps to make it Off Limits, but there’s not justification. It sounds like whomever brought charges is an out an and out 0bamunist!

It’s all ass backwards. The good generals and admirals are all being purged out. The whole military is being socially engineered.

Please thank your uncle for his service.
