How is this any different than Islamic law in, say, Turkey (Obama's favorite and most trusted ally)? In October, 43-year-old Fazil Say went on trial in Turkey for "denigrating" Islam for a series of tweets earlier that year. In one of his messages he had retweeted a verse from a poem by Omar Khayyám, in which the 11th-century Persian poet attacks pious hypocrisy. This is the same thing.
If the DoJ pursued the vicious, offensive, racist, antisemitic tweets directed at me (and others) by Muslims and leftists, they would be pursuing little else. But they wouldn't and they shouldn't.
Note to the Justice Department -- we will fight you on this every step of the way. We will drag your dhimmi asses all the way to the Supreme Court. This is sharia enforcement, and we are not going to stand for it.

In its latest effort to protect followers of Islam in the U.S. the Obama Justice Department warns against using social media to spread information considered inflammatory against Muslims, threatening that it could constitute a violation of civil rights.
The move comes a few years after the administration became the first in history to dispatch a U.S. Attorney General to personally reassure Muslims that the Department of Justice (DOJ) is dedicated to protecting them. In the unprecedented event, Attorney General Eric Holder assured a San Francisco-based organization (Muslim Advocates) that urges members not to cooperate in federal terrorism investigations that the “us versus them” environment created by the U.S. government, law enforcement agents and fellow citizens is unacceptable and inconsistent with what America is all about.

I don’t understand why our DOJ would be involved in Muslem situations outside the USA. Unless someone speaks about a specific person(s), they should be able to say what they want about the Muslem’s. It can not be proven where the scumbags reside so therefore “No Jurisdiction”. Think about S. Rushdie(sp) Wrote a book and the Islams want him dead. If he was in the USA would the DOJ provide him protection? what about any US Citizen?

You are missing the point about the Obama strategy, even though it is currently playing out before your eyes with the IRS scandal against conservatives. They fully expect to get slapped down, but by that time, the implicit threat has already been established. Most people on the right do not put a priority on agitating, so they will just stay silent rather than risk any potential hassle.
Because then the left would rail against it as an unconscionable attack on their first-amendment right to free speech, and the policy would die on the vine.
They see Islam as a transformative agent that they believe they can control.
I thought civil rights violations were committed under the color of authority. There are other laws for certain types of speech by citizens. With a few restrictions, I can speak my mind, and if the muzzies don’t like what I am saying, they can refuse to listen.
Not only it is a violation of 1st Amendment against freedom of speech....but it is also endorsement of a religion by government of one religion over another

I think there is more to the IRS scandal than most people realize.
I think the IRS targeting the TEA Party was part of the orchestrated demonization campaign launched against the TEA Party by the Obama WH, dems operatives, and the MSM claiming the TEA Party was a bunch of racist, ultra violent, right wing extremist Tim McVeigh wanna bees.

I don’t think Zippo ever intended to get reelected until the attack in Libya was screwed up then he had to get reelected to cover it up.

They helped round up the slaves that led to one of the biggest marks of disgrace this country has!!! So yeah they contributed allright the same way the Drug lords of colombia contributed to all the drug problems associated crack and cocaine users.
They helped lead to the creation of the Marines because they kept demanding tribute until we finally realized that we could stand up to them and kick their sorry asses back to Tripoli.
And once again the guy shows why he never advanced beyond being a lecturer in Constitutional law. (I was going to again call him The Negroid Hemorrhoid, but I don’t want to push the moderators too far.)
