We just roasted our tires... in a bonfire in the backyard.

We need to bring big blocks back.
Oh, the shame! I didn't know it was Earth Day. I swear I didn't. I should have driven. Sorry, sorry, sorry.
I started the day with firing up a torch cutting and bending some bar for tent stakes. Did some welding. Cut a load of firewood and just before dusk tried out a new steel target with a handgun.
Oh yeah, warmed up the John Deere in the fishing boat for 15 minutes too, at an idle.
I drove my F-150 around L.A. today selling our show idea to studios. Glad to be of service to mother earth by driving around and burning gas that will keep her undies warm
Posi... nice.
Nice! I threw some glass in the garbage today and littered.
Want!
I celebrate Earth day the same every year. I go out to the country find a nice tree, sit under it and read a book. While burning a giant pile of old truck tires.
Complained to the manager at the supermarket that the people
who bring their own reuseable bags should have to use a separate checkout line because they slow the process.
They (the reuseable bags) are also filthy.
I was told that in inner city America it is actually referred to as “earf day”
I guess that awareness thing really isn’t working because I had no idea it was ED. I didn’t celebrate it at all this year.
However, I do work in a coal-burning power station, so I do my part year-round.
Yeah Baby!!!!
I changed by oil. I dumped the old oil in the storm drain. Then I installed a new battery in my truck. I threw the old battery in the creek. Then I burned a pile of scrap pressure treated wood using an old set of mud tires to get it started. Last I cut down a hollow tree were a pair of spotted owls were nesting.
Well I can’t top that but I did take delivery of a custom 19 in rack/stand for recording gear made from (possibly who knows? ;) the trees the greenies were crying over in the classic vid posted earlier. Or their brethren. Either way works.
Side bonus is that it’s shaped like a podium so the next project will be an Official Seal of the Republic of Norm to mount on it. That way I can stand before it and make political/environmental speeches to the dog.
At least the dog listens to me ;)
I guess that was yesterday. I missed it. I have a road trip planned in search of kolaches south of town.
I worked on getting the garden finished & the yard. That’s about as “green” as we get here.
The ingredients are:
SD Alcohol40, Isobutane, Propane, Vinyl Acetate/Crotonic Acid Vinyl Neodecanoate Polymer, Aminomethyl Propanol, PPG-12 PEG 50 Lanolin PVP, Fragrance (which really stinks), PPG2 Salicylate
I love how the can states, ‘For that Clean Hair Feeling’.
I printed out a picture of Ira Einhorn, set it in the toilet and left a big piss on it but I did not flush until this morning...after coffee, of course.
