Unbelievableā€¦.Republican Senators Supporting Intrusion Into Our 2nd Amendment Rights

constitution-fire

So it appears a Republican lawmaker has been bought off to put his stamp on the new gun bill headed for the Senate.

Yesterday:

New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg’s Mayors Against Illegal Guns is on the air in Pennsylvania Tuesday with a TV spot targeting Sen. Pat Toomey (R-Pa.), who is in talks to sign on to a proposal that would require background checks for all commercial gun purchases.

Today:

Bloomberg's Mayors Against Illegal Guns is pulling its ads in Pennsylvania, citing Toomey's work on compromise bill.

Sure appears to me that in exchange for the attack ads to stop he signed on with the Democrats.

What does this new gun ban do?

The proposal will allow a doctor to add a patient to the National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS) without ever telling the patient he or she has been added.

There would be no due process requirement. Not all doctors will be able to do it with the same ease, but many will. Knowing a doctor could add him to a federal database as mentally ill without his knowledge could potentially dissuade a patient from going to the doctor in the first place to get help.

Worse, if the doctor does so and makes a mistake, the patient would have to actively work through the system to get himself removed — guilty before being proven innocent. In some states, should a doctor flag you as having mental illness without your knowledge, you may very well see the state come collect your previously purchased guns.

It doesn't stop there.

Barry has them all by the nads. The Kenyan is going to get his amnesty, homosexual unions and gun control. The GOOBers are going to provide cover for him. If the GOP thought 2012 was a ‘RAT romp, wait until they see 2014 and 2016. If I were them, I wouldn’t even bother suiting up for those two.

I quit the republican party last December. I was a republican for over 30 years. I am now a registered Libertarian. I have a lot of disagreement with Libertarians but, as I see it, fewer than I have with republicans. I am absolutely certain that no Libertarian would vote against the second amendment.

I’m not shilling for Libertarians but anyone who is still proud to be a republican can try to explain that to me.

The only reason I am still a Republican and not a Libertarian is that I get to vote for the lesser of evils in primaries.

It is fascinating to me that the Congress of the United States is leaning toward these “universal background” checks against ordinary citizens wishing to exercise their Second Amendment rights, but refuse to examine the backgrounds of the POTUS or any member of Congress.

Even more fascinating is the fact that IF a universal background check is passed, it will violate both our Fourth and Fifth Amendment rights in addition to potentially violating our Second Amendment rights.

At the current rate, before this current term term is up, I am sure that zero will find a cause that will encourage him to violate ALL of the Bill of Rights in a single issue!!

No pics necessary.

When a multi-Billionare threatens to target you in the next election, you pay attention.

Now, If Toomey were a man, he’d have called out Bloomy for extortion.

My two RINO senators are exactly the type to “compromise”, i.e. defy their constituents and spit on the Constitution.

This is the Supreme Law of the Land.

Amendment II

A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State,
the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

They take a vote on that at their peril not ours.

Eventually we have to scrap the Republican party and start again with maybe the Tea Party.

We know Democrats are cr@p, but we can’t vote for a party of half committed enablers either.

Time to fire the Republican party establishment and move on IMO.
The only exception being a great GOP candidate. Not their fault to be stuck with the GOP.

You're not alone. It's absolutely heart breaking, IMHO, but I felt it my patriotic duty to walk away from the GOP.

It isn’t unbelievable.

The Republicans have been traitors for some time now, and they will continue to be.
