Former half-term Alaska Governor Sarah Palin, who often attacks Democrats for hurting small businesses, slammed American automakers Tesla Motors and Fisker Automotive for being "losers" on her Facebook page.
Palin attacked Fisker Automotive for laying off 75 percent of its employees last Friday, reports the Los Angeles Times.
Palin also accused the Obama administration for supposedly attempting "to pick 'winners and losers' in the free market," but did not mention that for decades the federal government has made loans to businesses.
She showed additional contempt for hybrid electric cars by slamming General Motors' Volt, which tripled its sales in 2012, per CNN.com.
This losing tax-subsidized venture joins other past losers like the Obama-subsidized Volt that gets 40 miles per battery charge, or like the Obama-subsidized Tesla that turns into a brick when the battery completely discharges and then costs $40,000 to repair, Palin angrily wrote on Facebook....

Actually it is funny that the writer of this article could be so clueless...
GO Sarah!
A lot; and another big batch was purchased by GE.
bump
But Chevy made money, LOTS OF MONEY on those 14000 vettes..
They LOST money on every one of those Volts.
You can’t make it up on volume when you loose money on every one of them. It is NOT in chevy’s best interests to sell volts at a loss. or to tell them at all really.
The poster in 16 was poking fun at a line in the story. I think you missed the point of their post.
But I could be wrong.

The media is all in, aren’t they? They’re going down with the ship. That’s fine with me.
Bump!
:D
GM just extended its employees’ new car discount to nieces and nephews.
Next, ‘Cousin Eddie’? “That’s right friend—279 mpg. And it runs on H2O.”
Big talk for someone who has been here less than 24 hours. Care to stick both feet in your mouth?
How do you like them apples, Karl Rove?
Former half-term Senator....” Barack Hussein Obama runs for President in 2008.
How do you like them apples, David Axelrod?
I believe out of a six year term, Bam served the equivalent of 124 days!
Sarah is quite right.
I bought 2007 basic Dodge Ram ST 1500 plain Jane crew cab new for 17500
List was almost 20000
Right now I am looking around
Same truck list is 32000 and can be had for maybe 28000
Why is this?
Inflation has been quite modest
The real losers are the people who bought that POS Fisker.
When it needs servicing and there are no parts or skilled labor to repair it, theh’ll be handed a a hefty bill for hazardous waste removal...
Corvette’s have been an American icon and have been sold for 60 years.
Let’s see how long the Volt sells and if it ever reaches 1/10000th the status of the Corvette.
BTW, last year was the last for the 6th generation Corvette, so many potential buyers held off buying one until the 7th generation (C7) Corvette was introduced/available, thus the low sales figure.
hybred and electric cars should be made illegal and the people that drive them arrested!
I have been warning people about these POS rechargeable electric cars for three years. Just like I warned everyone about Zer0 taking us on a joyride into the ditch. Those who bought them will wake up with a jolt in the volt when they try to resell those overpriced batteries on wheels. For one thing, you can buy lots of gasoline for the cost of one of those batteries. And a gas car gets you a lot further down the road on a tank of gas without lugging a dead battery around. The Chevy Volt apparently doesn’t use the engine to recharge its batteries while driving. Such a stupid company to come up with such a lame setup. A dumb-ass company for a dumb-ass President.
