If humans did in Star Trek what America has been doing in real life Earth would be destined to become Klingon.
As a Trekkie, I think it is insulting to Klingons to say that. LOL
We are far worse off IMO.
The Federation is part of a Totalitarian society. America is almost there. So, don’t you worry none; we’ll be sending aid to Klingons and Romulans soon enough.

Well I think 47% of Americans are already part of the Borg hive mind.
I think Vulcans would not understand how us Humans even invent anything.
But instead of aid, it’s tribute.
And instead of food, it’s gold.
Maybe the "leaders" have known for thousands of years, know theres nothing they can do, and telling us would only make us less productive in mining the gold...
