HELENA, Mont. - A bill that would allow concealed carry without a permit is shooting toward passage after receiving the Senate's initial endorsement.

House Bill 304 would allow people carry concealed weapons within city limits without obtaining a concealed-carry permit. The measure is one of the many pro-gun measures on the docket this session.

Upon further reflection, I see nothing in the 2nd Amendment that suggests a weapon has to be concealed ... baby steps back to the Constitution I guess.

HELENA — Montana lawmakers behind two pro-gun measures said Monday that restrictions on carrying concealed weapons in cities and on university campuses violate Second Amendment rights.

House Bill 240 would curb the Montana Board of Regents’ authority to restrict firearms on college campuses.

It followed two other pro-gun measures on Monday including House Bill 304, which would allow people to carry concealed firearms without a permit in cities.

All three measures are expected to pass the Republican-controlled Senate.

The conservative and liberal people continue to segregate themselves. Interesting.

Wow-—imagine that-—no permission from nanny government for our Natural Rights. When we are our own masters-—then we are free.

Gee, a law that complies with the 2nd Amendment.

Kind of ironic that we need "laws" to allow us the Freedoms written into the original LAW of the Constitution/Bill of Rights/Amendments....

It sure is nice when the government decides to allow the rights they once took away...the narrative should be that the old law of restricting a right was stricken because of its unconstitutionality.

Really? The last? I live in Illinois, I can tell you what "the last" means.

It's a felony to think about guns here.

Finally some real pushback with Constitutional carry!

Does anybody know about a Montana state ping list?

If there isn’t one, then it’s about time for a volunteer, IMHO.

Cool. I think I already had reciprocity with my Idaho CCW. Doesn't hurt to have fewer restrictions.
