Sounds like there are a lot of stupid people up there.
Who would give up a gun for a gift card? Why? What is the point?
Ping!
What are the rules? Can I turn in a water gun? Can I carve one out of soap? Can I turn in one that’s already been destroyed from a previous buyback?
“Sounds like there are a lot of stupid people up there.”
People (Low Information Voters - LIVs) who probably shouldn’t have guns in the first place. You just know they all voted for Obozo.

To use the gift card to purchase a better gun!!!! Simple...
$500 gift card?
There’s a big gun auction here at Lake of the Ozarks today.
I may check it out...
Buy back??????
How can they buy back something they never sold in the first place.

See, as long as you give everything a ‘catchy name’ or make it rhyme, it is a GOOD thing.
The ‘old USA Today’ method, give em enough to spend the 1 (or whatever) a day to buy the paper FULL OF HEADLINES.
People have suggested you ‘intercept’ the prospective sellers and where appropriate, offer double what the going deal is.
Big drawback there is ‘they’ will probably be looking for such shenanigans....
ON THE GOOD SIDE
Remember a few years back the Local Sheriff had some brand new NO U TURN signs, big bright and visible (Or even message boards) and placed them in the median of a grass divided highway.
They then placed a sign “Mandatory drug and alcohol test ahead”, put all the officers at the no U Turn signs and made a ‘killing’...
Think some court called it entrapment.
I think it was a great idea and shows that someone was ‘thinking’.
In most states, offering cash for guns at such an event, is perfectly legal. It has become something of a ongoing practice. Here is a link that has stories about 15 such events this last year!

It’s better that pansies don’t have weapons anyway...lol
The guns they turned in probably weren’t theirs and bought by other family members. They have probably never even fired the gun...
much of this town is a crappy welfare town.
if Obama had a son, he would look like some of the dirtbag gangbangers that roam parts of this town.
Lobster Newburgh, anyone.
Can they use the gift card toward the purchase of another gun?
I would avoid this event. I know the local cops here, and I know what Newburgh is all about. Not worth the risk even stopping in for gas.
But if anyone DOES decide to go, let me know.
become a slave to Obama, get a cheap gift card!
Sounds like a good deal...
It’s ironic that Newburgh is just a very few miles north of WestPoint Military Academy and NYMA.
Thanks for the ping.
