The Gun Control Community: Elation turns to depression January 23, 2013
by John Boch
(GunsSaveLife.com) Gun control advocates were elated in the days following the Newtown, Connecticut school massacre. They were elated not that children were slaughtered by an evil man-child as part of an insane rampage, but because in the hysteria following the tragedy, Americans were demanding our leaders to do something to prevent insane rampages by lunatics as part of their grief.
There are five stages of grief and they are denial, anger, bargaining, depression and acceptance. In the days following the Connecticut massacre, Americans were in the anger and bargaining stages of grief. Gun control advocates, not letting a crisis go to waste, were right there to tout their freedom- and liberty-killing snake oil as the solution.
Freedom was on the ropes and it looked rough for Americas responsible, freedom-loving gun owners who were being blamed for an insane scumbags unlawful rampage.
Well, the grieving process is winding down for America as a whole and earlier irrational and hysteria-driven clamoring for gun restrictions on innocent Americans is evaporating faster than a freon spill on a hot summer day.
Now gun control advocates are grieving over their overall failure to push through gun bans and gun restrictions while riding a wave of irrational hysteria.
Leftist gun haters are in denial that Americans, absent hysteria, recognize that gun bans arent best for their personal security and well-being, and that the only thing that stops evil men is good people with guns.

Love that sign. Libs believe that a “right to privacy” (pat pending, U.S. Constitution Penumbra department) allows a woman to determine whether or not a human foetus can be murdered as a matter of her convenience, but our income, gun ownership, where we live, health insurance, etc - - is NOT private.
Oh, and forgot about the bat-eared-b*stard’s obsessive drive to keep his sorry background from being exposed. That’s also “private.”
Shove it up your smelly Obamas, libs...your turn will very soon come.
It's not over yet. Do not let your guard down - now's the time to be hyper-vigilant and ramp up your activist game.

That is because the same "low information voters" who elected Obama only pay attention until another "shiny object" catches their attention. As soon as Newtown disappeared off the news, so did the demands to do "something". This is the problem Obama is going to have with all his agenda, his "majority" cares more about the new season of American Idol than they do about Gun Control or Amnesty for Illegals.
Let's review....Gun control advocates were elated
Sick, miserable, POS!
If I was murdering someone I’d want privacy too.
The way I try to explain it is that they were doing a Serena Williams style Crip Dance in the blood of those victims.
By the way, now that Oprah got the confession from Lance, when is she going to bring the two man-women Williams sisters on and have the confess to using testosterone?
Democratic lawmaker: Obama must ‘exploit’ murdered children to get gun control
In a brutally frank interview with MSNBC’s Ed Schultz, Rep. Jerrold Nadler (D-NY) said that Barack Obama needs to “exploit” the young children murdered in Connecticut to get gun control legislation passed
Thanks for that list of bill numbers and titles. That makes letter writing much easier.
Setting the Record Straight: the Enemy is the Enemy

Incredibly, there are still people in the outdoor and shooting sports community who are attempting to remain apolitical. They shy away from definitive terms like liberal or conservative. These folks still believe that, if you just try hard enough, you can win a logical argument with people whose decisions are driven by emotion. Ive been scolded and advised not to provoke the anti-gun crowd, those who wish to disarm lawful American citizens. We need to be reasonable and willing to compromise Ive been told . . .
I will admit that I understand the origins of what I call the reasonableness disease; it stems from Mirror Thinking. Humans at their base level all believe that everyone else in the world think and behave as they do. If they consider themselves a reasonable, rational person then they expect all other people to act the same. While this type of thinking is childish and naïve, its nonetheless very prevalent, particularly among those who would rather not deal with problems head on but sidestep them.
Let me set the record straight, as least as far as I am concerned: if you are a person who is actively lobbying a government agency, be it Local, State, or Federal to restrict the ownership of firearms by lawful citizens of the United States you are endangering myself as an individual, my family, my community, and by extension my country....
****...gun bans and gun restrictions while riding a wave of irrational hysteria. ***
Like 1968 when Bobby Kennedy was shot with a cheap American made handgun.
The 1968 Gun Cotrol Act banned the import of 5 shot bolt action army surplus rifles and handguns, and small foreign made handguns.
They ran the law through so fast they forgot to ban the very firearm used to kill Bobby.
It was later found the reason for the foreign army surplus ban was to protect the American gun makers from competition by eliminating low cost alternatives like army surplus guns.
Bookmarked for later reference.
Similar plan for the Senate bills.
A little history for the current debate:
During the Columbine massacre, in which 15 people were murdered and 21 injured, a total of four firearms were involved. The murderers also employed four knives and 99 explosive devices.
Of the firearms, only one qualified for banning under the 1984 federal law. One firearm was a doubled barreled shotgun with a shortened barrel. It has long been a federal felony to saw down the barrel of a shotgun and it was also a felony to possess such an altered weapon.
Every single explosive device was a federal and state felony to assemble, possess and use, and to use in the commission of a crime.
If the memory of Columbine is ever brought up today, the failure of the law to stop the use of explosives in a school massacre is never mentioned. It is never mentioned because it is a fact that gets in the way of a Gollum-like fixation on the Precious, the banning certain types of firearms and then eventually all firearms.
Their dear leader did not unilaterally ban all weapons and they are disheartened. They are also disheartened at the outcry by gun owners completely against ANY punitive measures at all. As we all know from WTC et al, America has a very very short term memory. The indignance and brado fades, and they will lose because they do not realize what they propose now in the wake of this tragedy is tantamount to an outright declaration of war against law-abiding honest Americans that value what ALL the Amendments, especially the Bill of Rights, says. They jumped the shark.
ping for reference
These demented, irrational, lunatic gun confiscating tyrants actually expected that those of us who understand the vital rationale of the citizen militia that is NECESSARY to the security of a free state would be intimidated by their waving the bloody shirt tactics and meekly acquiesce to their extortions.
It is a good thing not to indulge the delusional and cognitively dissonant. The parameters of our liberties shall NOT be determined by the sociopathic, psychopathic, criminal OR “PROGRESSIVE.”
They woke up the Eagle again.
