Statement From the NRA Regarding yesterday's
White House Task Force Meeting Fairfax, Va.
____________________________________________________________________
"The National Rifle Association of America is made up of over 4 million moms and dads, daughters and sons, who are involved in the national conversation about how to prevent a tragedy like Newtown from ever happening again.
We attended today's White House meeting to discuss how to keep our children safe and were prepared to have a meaningful conversation about school safety, mental health issues, the marketing of violence to our kids and the collapse of federal prosecutions of violent criminals.
We were disappointed with how little this meeting had to do with keeping our children safe and how much it had to do with an agenda to attack the Second Amendment. While claiming that no policy proposals would be prejudged, this Task Force spent most of its time on proposed restrictions on lawful firearms owners - honest, taxpaying, hardworking Americans.
It is unfortunate that this Administration continues to insist on pushing failed solutions to our nation's most pressing problems.
We will not allow law-abiding gun owners to be blamed for the acts of criminals and madmen. Instead, we will now take our commitment and meaningful contributions to members of Congress of both parties who are interested in having an honest conversation about what works - and what does not. "_________________________________________
The National Rifle Association was established in 1871, and is America's oldest civil rights and sportsmen's group. 4M members strong, NRA continues to uphold the Second Amendment and advocates enforcement of existing laws against violent offenders to reduce crime. The Association remains the nation's leader in firearm education and training for law-abiding gun owners, law enforcement and the armed services.

and they were expecting what that was different??
Commies don’t negotiate, period. They use negotiation as a tactic to delay when they don’t have the upper hand, that is it. They are not open minded to any suggestion, they listen just to determine how far they can get you to agree with their demands, before stating their unalterable approaches.
On an international scale, look at the conclusions of the Korean and Vietnam Wars. Korea ended in an armistace, not a peace because they could not win so they delay. Vietnam, they negotiated but did not yield a point. The negotiation was just meant to go on to wear out our will to continue. Just like Nancy with the football. We did, they won. Incidently, the Muzzies are doing this now.

The NRA should be explicitly accusing the White House of infringing on our civil rights. The Constitution limits what the government can do, and the Obama administration is running roughshod over the Second Amendment. The NRA should pull no punches and make it clear that treason is being committed in Washington, and that patriots should be prepared to act.
A million armed-man march on Washington should be considered.

If you don’t know yur state constitution, you will not be able to legally use force to prevent the taking of legally owned guns. Your state constitution, in most sates, gives you the legal right to both own firearms and to the right to defend, using deadly force if necessary, your family and property.
But, you must be able to cite chapter and verse to any who come to your door looking for your guns. And you must be prepared to enforce your right.

Around here all the gun shops are empty. You cannot buy ammo. There simply is not any. I recently sold a weapon. I wanted something new. Sold the old. I had so many calls to buy it I was worn out answering the phone after selling it. People are not going to give up their guns. These Feds think they can force people who are law abiding, have their guns by law, will be a threat. They simply do not get it that it is the criminals who will not turn in their guns, who have them committing crimes and killing people. I go to church with two hundred gun owners. None of us have rushed off to the local high school lately to shoot it up. The troubles at the schools around here have been punk kids who play video games and dress in goth crap. It is not good, honest, hard working, tax paying, church going, people doing these things.

The NRA should pull no punches and make it clear that treason is being committed in Washington, and that patriots should be prepared to act. Wayne LaPierre would be dead in a car 'accident' or under arrest within 24 hours of making a statement that "patriots should be prepared to act" against treason in the WH.

Good points. Obama and dems will push this as fast as they can but ultimately they are marxists and will patiently wait while people like you and me die out. I have had interesting discussions with my grown kids and their kids. After decades of indoctrination they have no use for guns. The country is being transformed through govt schools and MSM propaganda. We will have to take that on to have any hope.

I could buy a new house in another place if I sold what I have including the ammo.
That sure is tempting, I don’t believe in going head to head with an enemy equally and we have yet to engage them, they won’t just line up in rows like what you have seen Redcoats do in a war movie like The Patriot.
I read about some but not a lot who are selling of their secondary stuff and safe queens.
Like the Chinese SKS being worth $850 currently, and the ammo for it is getting scarce where it was extremely plentiful before.
And should there actually be a Second Revolution the feebs will shut down the ammo manufacturers completely. Unless we react first to defend them.

Bingo. How many gun owners did not go postal this week?
The left always ignores all the post office incidents from the 80’s where the expression came from. Hmmm. Federal employees going postal. Remember that?
Has there been any mention of the cartel armies in our country who really do have assault weapons and use them?
The gun grab is intentional. They want to disarm law abiding Americans so that the criminals (dim voters) can have their way. Then step in to enforce their version of order.

The question that nobody in the “press” has asked (big shock) is how many, exactly, NRA members have perpetrated a crime like Sandy Hook or Aurora? How many??? And yet the NRA was being attacked, if I remember correctly, the DAY OF Sandy Hook. They just could not wait....
