What Good Can a Handgun Do Against An Army?

Your post brought this to mind: I moved to a small secluded farm in central KY from my longtime home of Seattle last year. I confess that the scariest scene I’ve seen in any movie is the opening scene in Inglorious Basterds. You really can’t hide, and our government is FAR more sophisticated than they were.
I wouldn't expect those who would do what needed to be done are stupid enough to post what it is they would do on a public forum.
Why, I'll say, "What guns?"
Lets just say it won't be a good time to be a cop. They do this crap at their own peril.
“Gee, I didn't know the person at the door was a cop...thought they were an intruder.”
Again, this will be bad time to be in law enforcement. Lawlessness begets lawlessness.
Remember: chaos only benefits a dictator when they can CONTROL the chaos. Doubt me? Ask Nicolae Ceausescu how that worked out for him.
Here’s an idea... Don’t be home.

They won’t be there.

I think people will get their guns out of the house and hidden somewhere.
What will they do when they don't find any? Keep coming back? We could play this game for years.
Not be there when they call, if caught there have throw away junk to sacrifice and be shuffling our stuff around between friends so its always at an already cleared house. What are you going to do?
Ruin their day, if you understand what I mean.
Take as many as can with me.
Nah, it isn't likely to work like that. It will just be constant pressure from lawmakers to further restrict your gun rights. They will chip away at your ability to buy new weapons, the availability of ammo, etc.
That's how these things generally go. It is very rarely that they go for everything they want at once since that will tend to provoke a reaction, instead they get the camels nose under the tent and eat away at our rights from there.
What passes for the American public these days is nothing like what this country was even 20 years ago. It's a whole new ballgame for the left now and they know it - they can and will push the secular socialist envelope further and further - but gun confiscating really isn't very likely anytime in the foreseeable future.
Kill them if possible.
They’ll find an empty house and wonder where the shot is going to come from. If they want to play, I’ll play, but I don’t play nice.
