It seems to me that plan B is a pretty thought out response to Democrats traps and games and contrary to claims it raises NO taxes, all it does is fully protect the 99.8% by extending the tax rates on the first $1M of everyone’s income.
Pretty much every R criticism on it has been telling the untruth that it ‘raises taxes’ which ttells me they have no case. Also Pelosi, Reid and O are all against it.
But unfortunately the ‘we want to be defeated by O again’ crowd is once again at it. Let me compare the two competing plans:
Plan B suggestions:
1) Stop demanding that House Republicans throw us off the cliff by refusing to extend the tax cuts to the 98.8%. There is a reason why Pelosi is trying to defeat this bill that she originally asked for in letter to Bohner. It was a tool to beat up on Rs with all year and now that they call her bluff she is against it. DUHHH
Pass this bill in house and get on every TV station and repeat OVER AND OVER “ We passed the Pelosi plan to protect the 99.8% from higher taxes, and now she voted against HER OWN PLAN. PLEASE call her office and tell her to stop playing games with your taxes”
2) Next, go on all TV stations and repeat over and over that Dems are killing their own written (bluff) proposal, and wave the Pelosi letter around as a prop(a poster saying 'Pelosi proposal 'LOL) ,
and say they are now against their own plan to throw us off the cliff to get a better deal on tax increases. Demand they stop playing games with struggling Americans lives.
Plan C (the lets lose over and over plan):
So here is their big alternative 'throw us all off the cliff' plan:
1) Republicans make a stand that the 99.8% must get a tax increase just because the 0.2% will get one , then taxes go up on everyone rather than just the 0.2%:
2) Republicans blame O for the tax increases that they themselves called for and voted for in demanding that we ‘go off the cliff’
3)This time Voters believe Republicans when they say that that O raised all those taxes, even after they read their(Republicans past) posts and video clips replayed advising Republicans to ‘jump off the cliff’, this time the MSM tells them its all Os fault ignoring short term history, and so voters call up Dems and Demand that they cave to all of House Republicans demands.
4) Reid passes a full extension of tax cuts, plus the additional tax cuts Romney promised, plus the ones Newt promised, Obama signs it in secret.
5) Republicans win 2014 big with filibuster proof Senate for 2015 and 80% control of the House, then they impeach Obama,.
With *plans* like this what could go wrong? again? and again?
I forgot the most important part of Plan C:
6) when it fails to do any of this like all the others did and Obama gets everything he demanded just blame the MSM, voter fraud and the ‘low information voters’, they Caught us by complete surprise once again!
But it would-da worked in a different universe.
Ok, I put the two competing ideas together for contrast.
Democrats (All the time): “Tax the rich!”
Republicans (Plan B): “Tax the rich!”
What’s the difference?
As Leno said, we’ll wind up with Plan “F” and Plan “U”.
What alternative will pass both chambers and get signed into law? We lost the Presidential election and did not gain in the Senate. This is the best that can be done to live and fight another day.
the difference is that if we go off the cliff, instead of 49% not paying any taxes, we will only have 18% not paying taxes, and no one will be getting a tax refund if they have not payed anything...
fair is fair, and I say we want most, if not all, americans paying something into the system...
the young and lower wage earners have grown up with the bush tax cuts..
let them experience what WE experienced prior to the evil bush tax cuts..
maybe they will not only learn a lesson, but they just might shut the hell up...
you guys must get these talking points texted to you.
Newsflash : THE TAX CUTS AUTOMATICALLY EXPIRE. RATES AUTOMATICALLY GO UP WITH NO BILL!

If you plan C folks had an argument you wouldn't be lying about this
The lesson learned will be that Republicans raised your taxes because they couldnt get the 0.2%, then tried to lie about it
Notice ‘Republicans should raise taxes’ is not the argument being made.
the (dishonest) argument being made is instead that this tax cut bill raises taxes.

Republicans (calling for) becoming Democrats tax collectors, then lying and denying it, then whining about how voters are brainwashed into thinking they raised taxes, is the dumbest plan ...

The stupid Republicans need to get the hell out of the way and let Obama do anything he wants. The unions are already sending out letters blaming Repubs for things that are Obama’s idea!! This will never end....I am so fed up with the repubbies stupid ignorant NON strategy...same ole thing over and over....

Bohners pretty weak leader, but many (here) give the impression that really they want Obama to win and get everything he demands, over and over.
Its a cult like thing. "OH, everyone is against us. Time to move to Jones-town"
The only way to wake up Dems is to give them complete control...so they can show the sheeple how they will destroy everything. Repubbies need to get out of the picture...completely....leave no room or doubt for BLAME.
AHHHH, Grasshopper the ‘let the Dems own it all’ strategy.
We had that in 2009 and 2010 and in fact Democrats got the blame for everything those two years, in fact Republicans said ‘no’ on almost everything and picked up seats as a result. I believe many here confuse those fun minority party times with these dark days.
In fact as election day 2010 approached I warned HERE of the pitfalls of Rs taking the congress without a filibuster proof majority, Ii warned it would make it much harder to beat O this year (in 2 years) because Rs would be the new scapegoats to protect O.
This was easy for me to see ahead.
Alas grasshopper I am not expecting to solve the countries biggest problems by posting comments here, I just want O to get a lickin for a change.
