What possible reason can their be to require retesting of models that have not changed their design, other than to whittle down the number of models over time. This is an outrage that does not meet even a rational basis test.

There are links at the site to rosters of handguns that are approved, and those whose approval has expired!

We need more info here. You’ve got my attention. What is the story? Are handguns being banned in CA through attrition? What law? When? How? What is an inspection and why is it necessary?

Has your account been hi-jacked?

Is that for a CCW or just a permit to own a gun?

Concealed carry requires another permit.

Just another attempt to invalidate the people’s vote on California’s proposition 15 back in 1982.

That was the attempt to ban handguns in California. It failed miserably, so the legislature has been working overtime to try and find ways around it.

State of California decertified handgun models (pdf file):

http://oag.ca.gov/sites/oag.ca.gov/files/pdfs/firearms/removed.pdf

“Handgun models whose certification has expired or otherwise removed from the Roster. These models may no longer be sold, offered for sale, or manufactured in California.”

California passed a first in the nation bill that bans the sale of all new handguns except those that are allowed. Apparantly, those that have been approved, are approved only for a limited time. When their approval runs out, they have to go back through the entire expensive, time takeing process again.

I suppose that if the approval runs out and dealers have models in stock, that they are then not allowed to sell them.

It is an insane model of a law.

Duh. I was just joking. Since the election, no one has a sense of humor, which I totally understand.

Hanguns are the only type of personal protection allowed when the libs finish taking all of the handguns away.

It works like this: You call 911 and eventually someone answers and after they hear your harrowing scary story they say:

“Hangun there hon, we’ll send a police officer over in a little while”

Sorry, couldn’t resist... ;-)
