We need more info here. You’ve got my attention. What is the story? Are handguns being banned in CA through attrition? What law? When? How? What is an inspection and why is it necessary?
Has your account been hi-jacked?
California passed a first in the nation bill that bans the sale of all new handguns except those that are allowed. Apparantly, those that have been approved, are approved only for a limited time. When their approval runs out, they have to go back through the entire expensive, time takeing process again.
I suppose that if the approval runs out and dealers have models in stock, that they are then not allowed to sell them.
It is an insane model of a law.
From the website:
View list of handgun models whose status has changed recently:You'll note the first list is one page long and has five guns on it, while the second list is 24 pages long and has perhaps 600 guns on it (my estimate), which means California bans 120 times more guns every year than it certifies for sale. But I'm sure that's just a coincidence.
