Don’t forget Snowe and Collins.
Re: remarks about guns lost in boating accidents, outhouse drops, etc.
Any credit/debit card records are kept for a long time, so any orders for weapon related items are retrievable. I had to retrieve records from 5 years ago from mastercard. They were still there. (ordered a rifle online and had to prove timeline)
That’s another reason that cash is king.
Yup. I order ammo and accessories on line, so .......
That's pretty odd considering of the two men running for President, only one of them previously had actually signed into law gun control legislation. The other man running had never banned anything.
As long as your talking constitution, don't forget to mention that the Supreme Law, (Article VI, para 2) requires that any laws passed must pass constitutional muster. Must first be in be in Pursuance to the constitution. And of course, the Second Amendment, being a part of the Constition, is part of the Supreme Law and CANNOT BE DISMANTLED by subsequent treaty law.
Senators and Representatives, Members of the several state Legislators, and ALL executive and judicial officers (AND THAT INCLUDES THE PRESIDENT) are bound by OATH OR Affirmation to suppost this Constition . . . .
And this Oath clause is included in the Second Amendment and is part of the Supreme Law.
Of course if the prez choses to disregard the Supreme Law and attempt to dismantle the Second Amendment in spite of his oath, this land will be as though there is no more laws to be followed and everyone can choose to follow the example of our dear leader.
Could it be the prez understands what is going to happen and has ordered all that ammo to arm all federal officers and offices to serve as his private army?
I don’t think this was about banning guns. This was about America, the responsibility to do the right thing when you go vote and electing only candidates who want what’s best for America. Not some bag ‘o sh*t out to destroy America. That’s the way I read it.
And most of them would like to get reelected.
I’m praying God with a lightning bolt, from a sudden thunderstorm on the golf course, brightens the man’s day.
OK, at least it's different from the never-ending "tragic boat accident" crap.
No offense but this has gotten as old as "Bush's fault".
I pray there is not anyone stupid enough to think this statement is anything but a very stale joke. It might even attract unwanted attention.
It's also mandatory for several male FReepers to post "Not Guilty!" responses on every attractive female thread.
So it isn’t just me that is sick of this comment.
Good!
Re post 33, yes, I am familiar with FR traditions and I think those you list are somewhat “cute” but somehow the boat accident reference just grates at me. It purports to be clever but it isn’t. And I—and probably a lot of others—have grown exceptionally weary of seeing it.
I voted for Romney, despite his record of banning guns as Governor of Massachusetts. Don't get me wrong. I don't think Obama is any friend of gun owners. However, unlike Romney, Obama has never banned anything.
Am I worried about Obama destroying the economy? You bet. Am I worried about Obama taking away my guns? Not so much. The only foray into gun control Obama has embarked upon while President has been to loosen restrictions on gun possession in national parks. Oh yeah, he also wrote a strongly-worded letter to a local Arizona news affiliate after the Giffords shooting demanding enforcement of current gun laws ---a position, strangely enough, supported by the NRA.
And then there's Obama's solid 'F' grade he received from the Brady folks (even George W., I believe, got a 'D').
And "hugh" and "series"
That is 12 votes short.
That is 12 votes short.
We have the biggest dumb fu*ks on our side!
They’re not registered, but there is a paper trail. The serial number can be traced to the shop where the gun was sold, and then they can get the records by warrant.
Make sure your local gun shop will not hand over records without a warrant!
