The Slut Paula Broadwell
The Other McCain ^ | November 10, 2012 | Robert Stacy McCain

Posted on 11/10/2012 2:16:57 PM PST by Tolerance Sucks Rocks

Let’s just go ahead and get this out of the way, eh? Aren’t feminists who embrace the “slut” label (e.g., “Slutwalk“) all about empowerment and liberation? And if you are an empowered liberated woman, what difference does it make if you’re married or your partner is married? All those silly vows — “Forsaking all others” and so forth — are just oppressive tools by which the patriarchy subjugates women, and anyone who buys into moral ideals of marital permanence and lifelong fidelity has succumbed to what the Marxists would call “false consciousness.”

Stipulate that adultery has occurred and continues to occur even in the most traditionalist societies, as for example the infamous Beecher-Tilton scandal. We can’t blame feminism for everything.

Still, doesn’t it just make sense that the cheating husband will have more opportunities to cheat in a culture where rhetoric about the sexual empowerment of women is so widely accepted that anyone who dares question it is condemned as a misogynist or a puritanial religious fanatic? In the case of Gen. David Petraeus and his affair with biographer Paula Broadwell, is there no one who can defend the marital rights of Holly Petraeus, the general’s wife of 37 years, without being accused of hypocrisy, prudery or sexism? And what about the husband — father of her two sons — whom the slut Paula Broadwell betrayed?

Taylor Berman at Gawker examines the evidence that Scott Broadwell suspected his wife was cheating with Petraeus and wrote a letter to New York Times advice columnist Chuck Klosterman and received a published answer informed by political correctness and moral relativism:

Don’t expose the affair in any high-profile way. It would be different if this man’s project was promoting some (contextually hypocritical) family-values platform, but that doesn’t appear to be the case. . . . This is between you and your spouse.

Right: Adultery is only a scandal if it involves hypocrisy, and only Republican “family-values” spokesmen are capable of hypocrisy, so the adultery of an important Obama administration official should be viewed as strictly a private matter. If it weren’t for double standards, liberals would have no standards at all.

According to her Wikipedia page, Broadwell remained an Army reserve officer while she was knocking boots with the CIA director and was only recently elevated to the rank of lieutenant colonel, a promotion she never would have gotten had her illicit affair been exposed earlier. And it appears the slut was very cunning in her seduction:

Paula Broadwell, 39, has said she often conducted interviews with Petraeus while jogging. The pair met in 2006, when she was attending the Kennedy Center for Public Leadership at Harvard.

Ah, yes — the elite institution, and the ambitious West Point graduate using her sexuality to gain advantageous access to the Alpha Male, who had conveniently tucked his wife into a political sinecure with the Obama administration’s pet bureaucracy:

His wife, Holly, the daughter of a West Point superintendent, heads the office for service-member affairs in the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, an agency created by the 2010 financial-regulation law.

Give the Missus a do-gooder job to keep her busy while you’re keeping busy with other things, eh, General?

Of course, the feminists will cry foul that I am interpreting this tawdry human drama ideologically, even while they themselves view it through the lens of their own narrow ideology. My point is not that feminism causes adultery, but rather that the feminist rhetoric of “empowerment” provides a convenient rationalization for such behavior, and that feminism privileges the interests of a relatively small cadre of women (elite careerist strivers like Paula Broadwell) over the interests of others.

The inherent selfishness of feminism — its meaning as the expression of the power-oriented ambitions of a self-interested elite — is what needs to be examined. As is so often true in radical politics, the demand for “equality” is a precursor to the demand for hegemonic superiority.

One is as one does.

She is a married woman who had an extra marital affair with a married man. Therefor she is a slut!

So let me try to understand where you are coming from.

If a married woman has an extramarital affair - she’s a “slut”. OK. I’m not taking the position that she isn’t.

But if a married man has an extramarital affair, he’s…..what – he’s the innocent victim of a wily sluttish woman who mesmerized him and forced him to have sex with her?

Why isn’t he just as much of a “slut” as she is?

Not only did they betray the American People, they brought shame to the Army, it’s officers, to West Point Military Academy, and to the long Gray Line.

Shame on them!

I don’t have much respect for the woman, but is it necessary to call her a “slut”?

I couldn't agree more, and she is not qualified to be a whore, there is no evidence that she charged the General.. Tart, is too devilish and not nearly caustic enough..

Others that could be considered are, adulteress, fornicatress, hussy, loose woman, strumpet, trollop, slattern slob, slovenly person..

How about, Pig, or is that too hard on an already battered specie?

I think I'll go with my first instinct, and that was BI#CH!

Perhaps you should start by researching the definition of the word slut so that you may understand.

Words have meanings, and not the convoluted ones the libs use to try and alter our Country.

For example, if you have a dictionary from some time ago go look up the word marriage, then go do a Google search and see what the new and improved definition is.

I think you'll see what I mean.

Whatever it is or is not, it is safe to say that this female Alum of Haaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhvud has done more to force MSNBC to pay attention to Benghazi than anything having to do with the bloody murders of our Four Heros of Benghazi.

BTW, kind of ironic isn’t it? MSNBC tries to protect Benghazi-Coward Obama, himself a former foreign student at Haaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhvud, only to be exposed by a sexcapade from a female PhD from Haaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhvud.

BTW, BTW, didn’t Crissy Mathews also attend Haaaaaaaaahhhhhhvud?

If so, that would REALLY be embarrassing for MSNBC! What a great National leadership preparation University!

TRANSPARENCY, at last! Well, almost as Barry Davis Obama’s school and other personal documents are still illegally sealed.

I agree with you, when we use vile words like that we are resorting to gutter talk - which we once deplored.

And to those who have written, “what would you call her”? The word is in the 7th Commandment and is called ADULTERY.

An article on Drudge said that “after Petraeus was sworn in as CIA director on Sept. 6, 2011, the woman broke up with him. However, Petraeus continued to pursue her, sending her
thousands of emails over the last several months”

His email was being monitored and thus exposed.

“His email was being monitored and thus exposed.”

It was not just his mail that was exposed, so was his male.

Anyway the crux of this is apparently the case was worked back from the paramour to Patreaus. Frankly this whole thing is sordid. She was 20 years younger and he continued the fling after he was back in the states? What a bum. She is no bargain either, perhaps they deserved each other. The final chapter written when the divorce papers are official.

Meanwhile, it is significant the matter was put on hold till after the election because no one wished to call attention to a problem until after the election. Sounds like Bengahzi too. Everything this administration does is political. There are decisions that are right for the country and then there are political decisions. No problem, the SS Obama sails though all mine fields with narry a scratch. BTW, has der leader been anywhere near NY or NJ for a photo op lately? No, and he won’t, because we need to keep the national spotlight out of there, it is a catastrophe.

She is a victim of true love.

He is a victim of true lust. (Well, Hollywood would say that he is a ‘womanizer,’ their fancy name to help sell more sex in Movies.)

BTW, since both are victims, it cannot be a victimless crime.

"Broadwell/Fluke-2020!"

I say let's get 'on top' of this combo early. I feel as though I could go all in in support. I'd have a 'hard' time not supporting this ticket. Hell, I'm orgasmic just thinking of them!

It is being made to sound like Broadwell(hey, there’s a new name to call her...a broad) was being pestered by Petraeus with thousands of emails. Whereas from what is being stated, it sounds more like Petreaus had dumped Broadwell, had moved on to another female, and Broadwell was threatening Petreaus’ new lover in an effort to get rid of the competition and get Petreaus back.

It is not casting stones when someone comments on another’s behavior. This man has probably contributed to Os continuing destruction of the country I know and love. He did that while wearing the uniform of our country. This woman was also part of the process and SHE too was wearing the uniform. A pox on both of them

Casting stones is about giving judgment unduly on another.....calling their behaviour disgusting and treasons merely states facts in evidence. May their shame endure for generations
