This is really something.
Americans rush massive and instantaneous aid to countries across the globe in a disaster situation. THEY get assistance almost overnight.
Why not our own people on the coast?
UNIONS
Bingo.
Because the Magic . . . President has it covered.
They voted for the one so let him help. I will not give them a penny.
Let those clowns starve. They voted for Buttcrack odumbo and won’t give a sh*t about em’.
Yes, Fat Man and Little Boy are on the case.
I guess this is what the ‘me first’ Liberal selfishness has done to America.
If “O” had a single hair on his a$# he’d be there on the coast getting his hands dirty!!
THAT is the cry-baby, hand-holding, nanny state approach to government they voted for ... and THAT is what he owes them.
Well, there was a candidate who rolled up his sleeves and started donation centers for the stricken...
oh, wait...he lost and they voted for the photo-op phantom.
Chimera: “Jug-eared Jesus...” My new favorite!
Because the president’s name has a “(D)” after it - therefore, according to the Ministry of Truth, there are no problems and no need for help.
You are going to see more and more of this the more we are involved with the UN. The rich Americans do not need help. It’s the little backwards people living under dictatorships who need new clothes and food. Who are we to complain.
“Let those clowns starve. They voted for Buttcrack odumbo and wont give a sh*t about em.”
Here is how the two hardest hit counties in New Jersey voted on Tuesday
MONMOUTH
Obama - 125,471
Romney - 140,376
OCEAN
Obama - 89,625
Romney - 127,425
I’m really amazed at the callousness of some Freepers and frankly the ignorance is pretty depressing too.
It’s not callousness or ignorance. It is a FACT that I am one of the half of Americans who pay federal income taxes.
It is a FACT that taxes fund FEMA.
So I’m already supporting and giving to these people.
As a group, the blue states voted for more government, not less. So let them have the government solve their problems, and I will continue to give to them by way of my taxes.
Let ‘em freeze.
Callous? Nope. Just a few very small men and a couple of bimbos. Ignore them. They probably never gave a nickle or lifted a finger in their miserable little lives. This just gives them a chance to howl at the moon.
Because they burned our cities and are foreigners (in a yankee sort of way)?
Except for my son of course, who lives in Brooklyn.
Here’s a suggestion - all the dumbasses on the East Coast can dumpster dive and burn their homes for heat. After being stupid enough to reelect the Socialist Puppet of George Sorros, they can reap what they’ve sown. I’m not caring one whit about their plight.
“So Im already supporting and giving to these people.

Actually it is the other way around. Federal taxes from New Jersey taxes benefit North Carolina not visa versa.
New Jersey gets back 61 cents of every dollar they paid in Federal income taxes. A net loss of 39 cents.
North Carolina gets back $1.08 for every dollar they paid in Federal income taxes. A net gain of 8 cents.
I personally am not interested in finding out someones political affiliation before helping them out in a disaster. Yes we can all agree that liberalism stinks and I don’t have any love for them or their ideas but I will never deny any American (including a liberal) a helping hand if they geniunely need one.
What’s the source for those figures?
Those figures are from 2011 IRS information. This information appears in several article and publications and have been cited on Free Republic before. The latest figures I could find show NJ getting 77 cents back for every $1 paid in Federal taxes and NC getting $1.29 for every $1 but I am not really sure those number are accurate.
Do they include spending on the military? Fort Bragg, Cherry Point, Camp Lejeune, Pope AFB, Seymour Johnson AFB, etc are huge military installations with many military personnel assigned.
Please clarify whether or not the figures you are citing include or do not include these numbers.
A breakdown of exactly what is being included is preferable to simply throwing a number out there without really knowing what happens to be included.
I’m going to remain skeptical of your claim for the time being. You haven’t even posted a link, much less any clear explanation.
New Jersey has military installations too. Fort Dix, McGuire AFB, Lakehurst, Fort Monmouth (recently closed), Earle NWS, Picatinney Arsenal, Naval Surface Warfare Center...etc. etc.
Federal spending on defense is still federal spending.
As for citing a source....are all your search engines broken ????
I found the information in a few seconds cited in numerous different publications and articles, even here on FR. Is it too hard for you to do it too ??????
Thank you. The callousness, even toward fellow FReepers, has made me wonder if I've ventured into DU instead of FR on some of these threads about the storm and its aftermath.
So let me get this straight. You are either too lazy to do a simple Google search or more likely, you are afraid that what you might find will undermine your preconceived notion of the “way it is”.
Since you obviously can’t or won’t find this information on your own I have included sources below.
Perhaps you might take a look at the below sources before you climb on your soapbox and start insulting people.
P.S. - yes NJ did support Obama, a fact that many, many of us here are truly embarrassed about but NC made the same mistake in 2008 and just barely was taken by Gov Romney in 2012.

Armpit of America ???
Really that is the best you’ve got ????
I’ll tell Steve Forbes who’s estate is a couple miles away from me, that Rammer says New Jersey is an entirely crummy place. Perhaps Forbes can’t afford your neighborhood. I worked on his two presidential campaigns so I’ll just give him a quick “what’s up”. I’ll also ask Trump why he didn’t ask Rammer his advice before putting his National Golf Club just down the road too.
New Jersey is horrible. That is why places like Far Hills, Mantaloking, Alpine and lots of other towns are full of multi million dollar estates and homes. Obviously those rich folk don’t have Rammers good taste and worldly knowledge.
