Folks, we got less than a year until the “shift”.
Time to stop messin’ around.
This is no longer a hobby.

It’s pre-cooked:
Each can is 9 ounces of fully cooked and drained bacon. Between 2-3/4 and 3-1/4 pounds of raw bacon go into each can. Each can is the highest quality fresh #1 bacon slices. Cured to our specifications, cooked and then hand wrapped, rolled and packed in the U.S.

Sir, I am getting double pings on all of the Prepper Posts. Are there two lists? If so, maybe I could be on just one of them?
Blessings, and thanks for your help.

Sounds delicious and handy, but pretty pricey.

Between 2-3/4 and 3-1/4 pounds of raw bacon go into each can.
2.75 lbs x 16 oz = 44 oz 9oz / 44 = 80% loss in cooking? Seems high
But it is bacon.
If it was really originally 2.75 lbs before cooking x 12 packages per case, it would originally have been 33 lbs of bacon before cooking. $140.00 before tax or $4.25 per lb.

Sorry about the double PINGS. I think there is still some glitch in FR that’s causing it. It’s happen to often to be me and I post from two different computers. Any computer geeks have any ideas??

If you calculate at 2 3/4 lb. raw bacon per can it comes out to around $4.25 lb. That’s a bit more tolerable.

Before cooking doesn’t really matter. 12 9oz cans of edible product for $140, is expensive to me.

12 9oz cans = around 36 lbs. of raw bacon $139.99 divided by 36 = $3.90 a pound.

Only if your other option is eating the raw bacon. That way you would get your moneys worth. ;)

But you don’t get 2.75lb of raw bacon, you get 9oz of cooked bacon, and you don’t get the benefit of being able to use the renderings.

In case everyone didn’t know already, Wal-mart has by far the best deal I’ve found on the 15oz cans of pink salmon. Their Great Value brand is only about $2.34 if I recall correctly. I have about 40 cans already...they’re the ones that are dated five years out, currently like Sept 2017.
I’m pretty sure that’s cheaper than TUNA. I’ve noticed they’re out sometimes lately, so others are figuring it out to. Regardless, their price on DeMing’s (?) is the lowest too.
