I scanned the entire page for a mention of “Russia” or “Putin” and got zero hits. I have heard reference made that the plot to kill the Americans was instigated by Putin and Iran as a response to the US taking a position against their client state, Syria.

Certainly, in terms of motive, this is highly plausible. I would like someone to sort the wheat from the chaff to look at possible Russian interference in this incident. I, personally, do not have knowledge enough to answer this question, but I hope that some dedicated researchers will explore thi.

I was reading an article last night in the April 2012 Smithsonian Mag regarding the Titanoboa....a gigantic snake.... 40 foot long swamp dweller that could take out the gigantic crocs of the swamps 50+ million years ago.

I think I saw something on that Titanoboa. I know I did on a gigantic ancient croc. They made a life-size model of it. Just to scare themselves I guess. It was big enough to eat a cow in two or three bites.
