Team Obama has Spent so much that it has to Keep Begging for More.

The Obama Campaign has been run like the United States of Obama.

Yesterday, I received just one measly begging e-mail from the Obama campaign. Starting to feel left out, I have already received three today, each slightly different from the others.

This is the one begging e-mail I received yesterday: But first, a word some tears from the sponsor:

Hey,

Listen -- we're not there yet, and I'm not one to sugarcoat things.

Mitt Romney and the Republicans entered the last leg of this campaign with $45 million more in the bank than us. That's a problem, no matter where the polls stand.

It is simply not an option in my mind to come this far just to have the other side buy this election at the very last minute. We have the momentum in this race, but it's going to take every single one of us -- and that means you, my friend -- stepping up and taking ownership of this campaign.

It should go without saying that lots of money is needed to pay for ads that are so dignified and persuasive.

It certainly is a great shame that they are running out of other people's money, just when they claim to need it so badly. However, John Hinderaker at Power Line has an explanation:

The Romney and Obama campaigns followed opposite strategies this year. Obama, knowing that he couldn’t defend his record, launched a massive pre-emptive strike against Romney over the summer. The Obama campaign spent more money smearing Romney than has ever been devoted to negative advertising in the history of politics. The plan was to destroy Romney by demonizing him before he had an opportunity to introduce himself to voters. The Romney campaign followed a very different approach. Convinced that historically, money spent during the summer is largely wasted, Romney decided to hoard most of his cash until October, which is when most undecided voters make up their minds. While Obama has raised and spent more money than Romney over the course of the campaign, it is Romney who is dominating the airwaves in the final weeks.

Obviously, there is no way that Team Obama could possibly have expected that if it spent ObamaMoney as though there were always going to be more where it came from it might run short at the end; could it? Of course not; there just has to be endless OmabaMoney, the Team wants it and does not like taking "NO" for an answer. It's like Federal tax revenues -- there always has to be more when the Team needs wants it. They need it today and, like President Obama, "Can't Wait!" Never before had I been as proud of Team Obama as I am today.
