Captain America was created by two Jewish guys back in N.Y. just before WW2. It was personal to them. They were ahead of the country and declared war on Adolph before America did.
Simon and Kirby had their patriotic creation punching Hitler in the face.
Two Jews punching this Nazi Bastard in the face. With their imaginations. Something they knew they couldn't do in reality but actually did. They answered no small threat with not just their talent but in real life when they were threatened in their office by members of the American Nazi Party. You read that right. American Nazi Party. Mr. Kirby would answer these less than polite phone calls by challenging the coward on the line to meet him in the lobby of their building.
Marvel Comics is now controlled by the Mouse. Walt Disney a Patriot loaned his studio and it's talents to the U.S. during the war. Donald Duck recorded "In Der Fuehrer's Face". They made Great cartoons for the troops as did Warner Bros. It was a different Hollywood. It was definitely a different America. Where was the cover of Cap smashing Osama? Before 911 a program was pitched in the consumer products division of The Walt Disney Co. It was shot down. The program was a retrospect of the WW2 patches the studio designed for our Armed Forces.
The ammo that was used ...."Mickey is a citizen of the World". Citizen of the world? Yet after 911 even Mickey's shorts looked like Mark Spitzes Olympic swim trunks.They couldn't wrap him, put him in front of or stuff him with an American Flag fast enough.
WB, the company that had no problem dressing their characters up like future felons did not want one of their characters portrayed as a Marine. The female representative of Warner Bros. did not know the history of the most popular and funniest animated character.
Ladies and gents Bugs Bunny WAS a United State Marine. Bugs was adopted officially into the Corps and even has discharge papers. Folks the Marines are so loyal the their mascot, Sgt. Jiggs. This is BIG.
So here in the good old tradition of the 1940's America comes "Captain America Ground Zero." A Faction Graphic Bloovel that Marvel never would write let alone publish. In the same spirit of Mr.Kirby this Bloovelwill take on the enemy before America wakes up to the threat of Terrorism. That's right they put us back to sleep.
One news outlet this year skipped the 911 ceremonies for a Boob job segment.

Well I am continuing that tradition. Before the fit hit the shan this week part 3 was posted at the site. One scene is were a kidnapped drunk CIA agent is coming out of an alcoholic haze he sees Mohammed transform into a terrorist as his head clears.

This story began over ten years ago. I didn't forget. I work on this story everyday and it reminds me of our troops. I do it for them. Using my talent to give back. Like the old days. Entertaining a little. Maybe even educating them. Maybe one person looked up the War of the Worlds Radio halloween episode.
The other night my wife said she was scared and maybe I should take it down.

I remember that DC Comics right after 9/11 did something about the attacks in a graphic novel series format.
Not surprised what you said of the lack od documatation on this year’s rememberence of 9/11. Even the documentrary movie with the same title, nerated by actor Robert DeNero whose restraunt was not too far from the Ground Zero area about the firefighter rookie with the two French born video filming brothers was also missing.
You are so right, they want us to soon forget, sadly the events over in the Middle East last week forces we Americans NOT TO FORGET.
