America needs a CONSERVATIVE POTUS to remove
the evil installed by Mr. Romney and Obama.

It is not his lack of fiscal conservatism, but his lack of social conservatism that most concerns me. And his views will automatically be deemed right-wing by the media, even though they aren’t. Because of these things, the standards will be viewed as having shifted to the left. Anyone not to the left of Romney will be castigated as unacceptable in society. The Left has taken control of the vocabulary and of the opinions of the mindless masses. And Romney is one of their Weapons Of Mass Destruction.

Romney will spell the beginning of a liberal republican party, a rejection of social conservatism, and the entrenchment of what has been the covert direction of the Rino party since Reagan.

It is terrible for America to have 2 liberal parties.

That kind of America will quickly begin persecuting conservative Christianity, and in short order, expression of many religious beliefs, such as Cathy of Chick-fil-A saying he believes in natural marriage, will be punished.

Mitt’s Response: “that is not part of my campaign”.

I respectfully disagree with the author.

4 more years of Obama will result in millions stuck in poverty, joblessness, hopelessness, young people in a lost generation, etc.

The ABR’s can claim some holier than thou status all they want, when they choose to stick with obama, that is what they are giving their stamp of approval to.

I did not vote for MR in the primary - but Obama has to go. My business, my clients’ businesses, their clients businesses, are literally on the brink and if we get 4 more years of this communist A-Hole its game over.

The naive and childish hope that some savior for the Conservative cause will arive in 2016 is a fairy tale. It will be the same crappola w the 100/100 types who would not have nominated reagen were he alive today.

Let’s get the communist muslim thug out of the WH and push MR to the right as much as possible.

Romney will be the candidate and that’s not going to change no matter how much whining and gnashing of teeth. Thus there are three options for conservatives in November. Vote Romney, Vote Obama or don’t vote. Two of those options are a vote for Obama.

Romney is 10 times more dangerous than Obama.

Liberal Obama would be a lame duck with the GOP firmly positioned against him.

Liberal Romney will further corrupt the GOP by running it to the left.

Ask yourself which is worse - the enemy outside the gate or the enemy inside the gate?

Then take a good look at your loved ones and think if you want hysterics and loss of nerve to make you their enemy inside the gate, by voting for Liberal Romney

I think threads like this will soon be quite empty, conservative voters won’t even bother to post on them, maybe they won’t even read them. I know I won’t post on any, none of my opinions will be posted as I have to stay with what I feel is right, and I refuse to gallop on with a herd of wrong.

A true Freeper never develops blind faith in any man. We still need to keep our eyes open. The President is going to be a Progressive if Romeny gets elected. Blind faith belongs to an idiot.

Welcome to FreeRepublic.

You’re not trying to get the anti Romney posters all riled up, are you? nah, I can’t imagine anyone wanting to do that.

Any post containing “conservatives” and “Romney” gets a certain group of posters all riled up.

Have you done the same at a liberal website? Post something anti-Obama? I’m sure you were met with the same core group of posters telling you they agree with you.

No, wait. Liberals do what we just can’t seem to do, since we’re so high and mighty. They circle the wagons, we’re too busy in a circular firing squad. Hold out for that perfect (non-existent) conservative, no matter what!

Right.

I have not posted on this argument yet but as I do so I have this bizarre ‘feeling’ of ‘coming out of the closet’ as a conservative in a conservative forum. I’m sick of the premise that if I do not vote for Romney I am voting for Obama, the destruction of the country, pain and suffering for our citizens, etc. A conservative would be compromising one’s beliefs by voting for a liberal from any party. The effects of such a compromise are always negative. To give in ‘just a little’ leads to more giving in. A Liar will continue to tell more lies to perpetuate the first lie. A little evil brings more evil such as exemplified in Judges 17. I will not compromise and vote for either POS. Flame away...

Let's look at the President's liberal use of executive orders to change existing law, or to create new law. Immigration anyone? Barack Obama has completely changed the way illegal immigration is handled on the federal level. Because of the policy changes he has affected by executive order, many illegal immigrants no longer have to worry about being deported.

The President did the same thing with welfare reform. Our current law on welfare reform was crafted and passed during the Clinton years and it has worked since then to lower the number of people on welfare. It was widely declared to be a success, due in large part because of the work requirement built into the law. That requirement was strict because Congress made it thus. They wrote the law in such a way that it prevented waivers from granted for the work requirement. Barack Obama must have disagreed with that part of the law, because he magically found a way he could change the law. He issued a new policy directive that allows states to apply for waivers to the very requirement that made the law such a success.

Both of these examples show one of the main reasons why I believe Barack Obama is so dangerous for America. In using the principles of conduct he has applied to both issues, he has shown a complete and total disregard for the American system of government. Instead of working with Congress to affect any changes he may want, he simply took it upon himself to make those changes. In other words, he bypassed Congress and did what he wanted to do, and never mind the Constitution.

I made a list of about twenty such things they have done to show why Bambi's the worst, most destructive, most radical, pro-Marxist, pro-muzzie, pro-death, anti-American, anti-God, anti-everything we love and care for preezie ever. It didn't take but five minutes to remember.

The Dufflepuds here can take their stupidity and stay on the revival threads, they'll lose everything they ever thought they believed in if they succeed.

All too true, but you have to remember how many rotten, panty-peeing, brat Repubs. are out there still furious that they didn’t get their way. Probably the most spoiled, self-indulged conglomerate of people on the planet other than that ‘other’ group.

I am sure they won’t compromise with anyone that would emasculate them. Or, redefine conservatism while giving it lip service.
Or, take a strong position and then at the moment of truth breakdown and cry and just give in to the enememy?
Otherwise, we’re all rinos, now!

There are many people who are going to refuse to vote for Mitt Romney, based on his record in Massachusetts. That is their privilege and I would not dare to denigrate their choice. There are also those who will refuse to vote for him on the basis of the theory that he would be worse for our country than Barack Obama. One of the co-authors on Political Realities holds that opinion, but I have seen many other commentators put the same sentiment in writing. This post is not an attack on their position, and certainly not an attack on Ted, but I want to explain why I disagree so strongly with that belief.

Thank you for those comments. If all of Romney's fans will take to heart this important admonition, the next several weeks will be much more pleasant around here. Romney has been a very divisive character, but he will be gone soon and we need to begin planning for a post-Romney forum based upon a renewed respect for one another. This forum will be stronger than ever.

7 reasons why we must vote Obama out of office:

1. In his 2nd term, the gloves will come off and Obama will truly become Obamugavez

2. In his 2nd term, given the opportunity, Obama will appoint Eric Holder to the Supreme Court

3. In his 2nd term, Obama will accelerate the process of marginalizing both the Supreme Court and Congress and concentrating all political power in America in the executive agencies, such as the EPA, which will increasingly subject Americans to Rule by Fiat, rather than Rule of Law.

4. In his 2nd term Obama will accelerate his tear-down of the American defense establishment and effectively remove America from the world stage (a promise he’s already basically made to the Russians)

5. In his 2nd term, Obama will sign a deal with the Arabs to sell Israel down the river

6. In his 2nd term, Obama will take the gloves off on Global Warming and basically shut down what’s left of the US economy in order to make the very worst of the EnviroNazis happy.

7. In his 2nd term, Obama will step up his active, covert support for street gangs, flash mobs and New Black Panther voter intimidation, with the goal of staging and inciting civil unrest and marginalizing any kind of spontaneous dissent.

8. In his 2nd term, Obama will accelerate the process of ceding US sovereignty to the UN on all matters, particularly those involving the environment, gun control and “victims rights” (aka anti-home-schooling).

No mention at all about foreign policy. Obama has established the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt, Libya and soon Syria. Does anyone really believe Romney would have done this?

And how about that Obama conversation with Medvedev? Who’s willing to find out the myriad way Obama will sell us out to our enemies during a second term? Would Romney diss our allies and align himself with our enemies they way Obama has?
