Since when does serving up junk food give someone a license to preach?
Politics and all things fried, fatty and fast are becoming intertwined to the point of absurdity.
Weve got the Papa Johns pizza guys weighing in on the health-care debate, while the burger slingers out west at In-N-Out cant serve up a cheeseburger without a Bible verse.
The craziness of fast-food commentary on social issues became obvious to me when I stumbled into a totally earnest discussion at a party last week by a bunch of Washingtonians who personally support the right to same-sex marriage, but are also wickedly addicted to Chick-fil-A sandwiches.
This is the stuff of serious dilemma inside the Beltway.
I dont know what to do about it. I mean, I guess I can go through the drive-thru where no one will see me, one woman said.
It doesnt matter if anyone sees you there. Its about helping them fund hate groups by buying their hate-chicken, another responded.
Have you had that banana cream pie milkshake? someone asked.
And the entire room dissolved into a quiet moment of personal ecstasy, the kind that ends with a head-shake of loss, grief and sorrow...

Yeah, you corporate types have no right to preach to the rest of us. That ought to be left to actors and musicians to do that. < /sarc >
The author’s pretty lucky: fast food joints are usually the best jobs people with her brain power can get.
We dont always hear about politics from shoe magnates or cabinet companies or even the one fast-food place that seems to be kind of good for you, Subway.
Well, NIKE did try Islamic inspired shoes...
We dont always hear about politics from shoe magnates or cabinet companies or even the one fast-food place that seems to be kind of good for you, Subway. No, it seems that theres something about the artery-clogging food barons that gives them some sort of calling to publicly weigh in on controversial, political topics.
Wrong again. When the head of American Apparel isn't sexually harassing women, he is pushing corporate advocacy for amnesty for cheap illegal immigrant labor and for the norming of homosexuality.
So don’t eat at any of ‘em - you wouldn’t fit in with the wholesome class of people you’d find there anyway......

Petula appears to be quite familiar with pizzas....
I had never been to a Chick-fil-A before this started. I found the one in my town and the spicy chicken sandwich is just super - I’ve been there twice now. I’m in Texas and the temp. is about 100 every day so it’s too hot for me, at my advanced age, to drive there often. As soon as the weather cools, I’m having that sandwich at least once a week. I also had the peach milkshake and it was swell.
I made myself drive there regardless of the heat, on homo demonstration day and they didn’t show up - probably due to our town being full of Texas Bubbas.
The chicken is just good and I’m glad I got to know that place.
Liberal were busy pushing anti-Chick-Fil-A memes until the conservative backlash made them proclaim “the whole thing is nutty”.
Now they are busy on the Facebook spreading hatred of Paul Ryan, today’s new target for Orwell’s/Stalin’s/Big Brother’s “two minutes of hate”.
we didn’t riot.... nor protest.... nor battle with cops.....no protests... no marches.... no cars burned ... no one beaten up...no shop windows broken.... no stores looted-———— we just went to lunch and got a sandwich.
Pathetic liberal females.
The MSM goes out and asks questions expecting and demanding the correct PC answer.
They then create a ruckus over incorrectness and then bitch that those asked are bolstering.
Here's an Idea, "Don't ask Don't tell"..
OTOH, it's anti American to tell anybody to shut up about Religion. Even companies.
If you don't like it GTFO and eat somewhere else.
And they have no idea how they just proclaimed themselves to be such before the whole world....
I'll be voting on election day, then heading to Chick-fil-A for a victory meal. Join in, America!
And one police Sargent in Dallas Texas got punished for it when he brought a chicken sandwich to the station and was harassed by two lesbian police officers.
Weve got the Papa Johns pizza guys weighing in on the health-care debate
(** to the author of this moronic diatribe, Not the Freeper who posted it! **)
Hey, you booger eating moron! First and foremost, Papa Johns is a business, employing thousands of US citizens, and this so-called "health-care debate" will impact businesses in ways nobody can predict, because there's never been this level of intrusion into private employment since the social security act was implemented!
while the burger slingers out west at In-N-Out cant serve up a cheeseburger without a Bible verse.
So don't read them. Or don't go to In-N-Out to begin with! If you don't like what they do, DON'T GO THERE!
The craziness of fast-food commentary on social issues became obvious to me when I stumbled into a totally earnest discussion at a party last week by a bunch of Washingtonians who personally support the right to same-sex marriage, but are also wickedly addicted to Chick-fil-A sandwiches.
I suggest these weak willed leftists just learn to deal with their guilt. They're BAD liberals!
