I Will NOT Vote for Marco Rubio If He Is Selected as VP

RubioRomney

I will not vote for Marco Rubio as Vice President if Mitt Romney selects him to run on his ticket.  He is NOT constitutionally eligible to be President or Vice President, and I would be a damn hypocrite in holding my ire and giving him my vote after working as hard as possible to educate people on Barack Obama’s ineligibility.

Call me a Birther, call me a Tea Party hick, call me an “extremist” or racist, I could give a flying forgery.  I just don’t care anymore.  I’m not going to be like one of those liberals who complain about the rich not paying more taxes and not voluntarily putting their money where there mouth is.  And conservatives have constantly compromised on principle to the point where most Americans don’t think there is much difference in the spending habits of either party.

If you consider yourself a conservative – let me advise you that you can’t buy back your integrity when it’s convenient

He’ll get conservative votes from those who don’t want BO to be reelected.

If you think he is eligible then any Mexican women that sneaks 5 feet inside the fence and drops an anchor baby that person is ALSO eligible.

Nobody challenged Gov. Bill Richardson's eligibility when he ran.

It is just a very vocal minority. Most Freepers don’t want to engage these people.

I hate to break it to you BLUNTLY, but you may not be the official decider on who is NBC and thus satisfies one of the requirements to run on a presidential ticket. That privilege is accorded by our CONSTITUTION only to SCOTUS and CONGRESS.

I’ll make this simple. If you were born here in the U.S. you are a citizen and can run for any office no matter what anyone else thinks.

You are correct.

Then you and your ilk have clearly decided that 4 more years of Obama and his communist followers is good enough for you. I hope America is still here after 4 more years of Obama so you can share your very limited wisdom with us next time. I am very conservative, so please don't tell me that only a RINO would vote for Romney. I did not support Romney in the primaries, but I will vote for him in the general election because Obama must be stopped. By not voting, you are helping Obama win and for that, I have absolutely no respect.

Bravo for clear headed, rational, patriotic thinking.

Excellent Godebert. Sorry if I duplicated some of your citations. I was apparently writing while you were. You know we each could have cited a dozen separate cases.

It may take some time, but as long as we still have a Constitution, and as long as some still believe it should be our foundation, we will expose the truth along with exposing those who found it convenient to temporarily ignore it, including John McCain. We know that many of the presumably conservative pundits are realizing that "alien parents disqualify a candidate." The sound bite helps. The historical and legal record is too complex to explain.

I know that Mario Apuzzo believes that McCain could be deemed "reputed" natural born because Vattel suggested the exception. Mario may be correct, but none of the early Naturalization Acts, 1790, 1795, 1802, 1808, 1814, 1816,... addressed the Vattel proposal to make foreign born children of military citizens natural born, as SB 2678, by Obama/McCaskill, proposed in February of 2008. Certainly they knew the truth, but the Democrat Senate refused to pass it, perhaps because there wasn't time for an amendment to address the coming election. So the rationale for Republican participation to cover McCain's ineligility remains the plausible scenario. Until there is a Minor v. Happersett addressing children of military citizens - and I think there should be - McCain was not eligible either.

Many of Vattel's proposals were not integrated into our Constitution, such as a restriction upon emigration of a citizen with skills essential to our economy or defense, though Vattel was clearly the most important reference to our framers, judging by the number of legal citations, and by Jefferson's selection of "Law of Nations" as our first legal text at our first law school, created n 1779 by Jefferson at William and Mary. Clearly, before Obama became a candidate, Democrats were vocal about McCain's ineligibility.

In any case, don't give up. We have taken the time to read that many others simply may not have had. Now it is time to teach others with the clarity of the truth.

Amen and I second that comment! Romney may not be the most conservative of candidates but he’s all we have. To not vote for him is akin to voting for Obama. 4 more years of Obama will destroy America. We must not let that happen.

I've never seen so many people wanting Obama to win. I don't care if Bugs Bunny against Obama - I'll vote for Bugs.

When it was clear Romney was going to get the nod, I was warning people "the perfect is the enemy of the good."

It looked like I was skating close to banishment and I got tired of the people who will vote indirectly for obama said "I ain't NEVER gonna vote for that RINO -- I'll eat worms write in/vote 3rd party!"

Good to see SOME people get my point now.

Hell, I wouldn’t vote for Romney if he picked Jesus Christ as his running mate!

"the perfect is the enemy of the good."

It's not that mitt isn't perfect. Gingrich wasn't perfect, Santorum wasn't perfect, but I was more than willing to vote for either.

No, the problem is that mitt isn't even close to being acceptable. He's a liberal. He's a flat out, tax raising, gun grabbing, abortion loving, socialism for banksters, lying, tool of Sors liberal. He isn't just a RINO, he's a dem to the core.

Would you pay me a few dollars for my opinion on that?

No? You wouldn't?

Because that's what you do when you click on a blog.

Worse are the bloggers that post here JUST to get you to do that.

More the fool you, I think.
