Urban Radio Callers Slam Obama Over Gay Marriage Support (audio)
FoxNews.com ^ | May 15, 2012

Listeners of New York hip hop radio station HOT 97 did not take kindly to the news that President Obama had endorsed same-sex marriage. The day after the announcement, callers took to the airwaves to express their disappointment with news.

TRANSCRIPT:

HOST:

The sad part is amazingly there are people in New York whose votes he just lost. No question about it I have been doing radio for a long time and whenever I talk about this issue I am shocked by how many people call up and are upset with the idea of supporting same-sex marriage. Even in New York, even in 2012.

So, if anyone in NYC is disappointed that Obama made this announcement, call us up.

(...)

Anthony, how do you feel about Obama? You're not feeling him, huh?

CALLER ANTHONY:

No, because I’m totally against that same-sex marriage, man. I’m 27, I grew up in the days where a female’s supposed to marry a female, I mean a male supposed to marry a female.

HOST:

How does it affect you?

ANTHONY:

Because you got the younger generation in today’s society growing up. I mean if you have a kid would you want your kid, if he was a boy, marrying another guy? Or daughter marrying another girl? The emotions, the feelings?

I'm totally against it. I mean I'm born and raised in New York, my parents are from Guyana. That would never go in Guyana.

This can't be true. O’reilly said just last night that gay marriage is getting wider and greater acceptance nationwide.

Dirty little secret is that it isn’t just black men who are outraged, black women already find it hard enough to find a husband (not just a baby daddy) and they resent sissy men.

Ask the man on the street if they support Socialism (with a capital S). Not just “some” Socialism, but whole hog Socialism.

Overwhelmingly people will say NO.

Which is why Barack hems and haws and then holds up things like Social Security and Medicare as “hypocrisy” in branding Obamacare socialist or socialized medicine.

I listened to a talk show with a black host on Sunday night. No love for Obama expressed by blacks in Cleveland. Interesting to note that much of the opposition was resentment: "He doing this for gays, how long we gotta wait for him to do something for US?"

Urban Blacks feeling taken for granted, even dissed in favor of homosexuals in an election year could add up to a major headache for obama.

Might the "slavery reparations" hail-mary pass be in the future?

Funny but, every time it comes up for a vote in state elections, it gets resoundingly thumped.

Yup. They may not be able to see fit to vote GOP, but they will sit out.

It looks like I might have more in common with a bunch of hip-hop kids from the Bronx than I do with many of my own middle-aged, middle-class, mid-west colleagues!

Very simple. Because homosexuals on the whole are a very wealthy group. Blacks on the whole(certainly in comparison to gays) are not. Which makes the whole “gay is the new black” argument kind of specious does it not?

The “Wilder Effect” (named for the former African American Virginia gov) makes black politicians poll much higher than their percentages on election day cuz some folks will lie to pollsters so as not to be thought racist.

Now we have what I call the “Wilde Effect”
(named for the 19th Century's most famous sodomite, Oscar Wilde) where the fear of being thought “homophobic” makes people lie about homosexual issues to pollsters.

The insidious terrorism of Political Correctness created by the evil Left is coming back to bite them on their buggered butts:^)

This world is upside down and very, very ill.

No problem, Obama will “evolve” again and oppose gay marriage.

“He doing this for gays, how long we gotta wait for him to do something for US?”

Can you blame any hard working (or out of work!) black person for thinking that way?

Not to indulge in class warfare, but gay people who are fulminating for “marriage” are definitely in the 1%.

He’s done N.O.T.H.I.N.G. for working class blacks, nor working class whites.

Neither he, nor the hectoring foodie Michelle, have done the ONE thing they alone could have done that would have been SO important, promote intact black families. Obama could have spoken about his own childhood and how much he missed his absent father. I mean, I think he covers this in his book, so I don’t think I’m making this up or anything.

He’s basically living the Dr. Laura spiel: you have 2 chances at a parent/child relationship. If you didn’t have a good one as a child, have a good one as a parent. Obama was the most powerful man in America for a while there, he really had the bulliest pulpit, he could have told those homies to straighten up and fly right and who knows? They might have actually listened. It sure as hell couldn’t have hurt.

Instead, so far Obama has supported a College Prof who got arrested, Black Panthers who should have been arrested, and the unfortunate Trayvon Martin.

He’s sneered at people of faith, and black people seem to have a lot of respect for religion, even if they are not religious themselves (they are much better than many white people, if you ask me, esp. up here in Yankee territory).

So, while this article did kind of surprise me, if young black people are starting to see through this guy, that is a good thing. Because really his goal is to play them, and everybody, for fools.

His goal isn’t intact black families or intact white families, it’s all of us as “Julia” pathetic minions in the thrall of an all powerful state.

Thanks for posting this Freethinker, I was coming here to post it too. Who knows if it’s really meaningful, but I know Obama calculated that blacks would stick with him no matter what, and I’m sure most black voters will. But I ask this statistical question: did he pick up ANY support, did he gain even ONE vote he wouldn’t have gotten anyway?

Or did he, once again, manage to p*ss off everybody who’s not a member of the MSM?
