Is there any question that leftists created the chaos of the Arab Spring? That was violent.
This is part of the Globalist agenda - to create the chaos and acquire the resources of the country.

Uganda: Tullow Finally Signs $2.9 Billion Oil Deal
http://allafrica.com/stories/201202240673.html
Tullow Oil yesterday concluded the sale of two thirds, or 66.6%, of its assets in the Albert Grabben to France’s Total and China’s CNOOC for $2.9bn, bringing to an end a ticklish issue that had held back oil activities for more than a year.

Making Joseph Kony a household name
I smell an October surprise in which obama heroically saves the day by capturing the dastardly Kony. These stories are part of the set-up. We probably already know where he is.
Wrong. It is not in our interests to let China dominate Eastern Africa. It is in our interests to support our allies and destroy Kony’s LRA and Al-Shabaab.
I was watching it (no sound) over the shoulder of my daughter. Just watching it I could tell it was propoganda - pretty slick stuff, lots of quick images to get the pulse and hope going. Especially for a young kid. Interesting to read about the methods used in this thread.
As I told my kids - there are a lot worse folks in the world than this Coney Island guy. And why should we be so worried about him all of a sudden. (Almost every youtube video has a link now about “getting koney”.) I told my kids it was probably a “wag-the-dog” type thing.
Joseph Kony 2012: Obama administration congratulates success of campaign (another Red Herring)
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2856714/posts
According to their Audited Financial Statement, the Invisible Children had as their stated purpose in the beginning of their organization in 2004, “Programs include educational and microeconomic initiatives in Central Africa benefiting over 11,000 people as well as biannual tours, awareness events, and fundraising campaigns statewide.”
However, also according to this same statement, “The Organization experienced very strong and unexpected revenue near fiscal year end 2011, which is reflected in unrestricted net assets at June 30, 2011.”
Under the line item: “Net Increase In Cash” 2011 is $4,923,140., whereas, for the year 2010 the Net Increase In Cash was $35,629.
Interesting to note, is what the report deems as RECENT activity. “Recently, the Organization has expanded its operations to Central Africa to address the plight of the most recent victims of the Lord’s Resistance Army’s (LRA) reign of terror who live in some of the most remote regions of the world.” The report describes a five step strategy, the 5th being, “promoting the arrest of Joseph Kony and top LRA commanders.

Additional information in the Annual Report I found interesting, was the report on the “The Fourth Estate.” In August 2011, the Invisible Children Organization hosted a three day conference by this title. 650 youth attended. (I am assuming these are the youth pictured in the viral video.) At this conference, participants engaged in discussions of public policy, international justice, effective fundraising, and what it means to be an empathic citizen. Participants were both educators and students from many countries.
Jason Russell, in the report, says of the conference, “We thought we were coming together to teach all of you the way forward...and you instead taught all of us (including the speakers) what the future is going to look like.” He added, “But there were things I was experiencing and hearing and feeling that were beyond imagination.” And then he quotes from one of the participants, Carly Parmer, saying she said, “There are no words to describe The Fourth Estate. I told my mom and my friends, you now just have to watch me live. My actions and life will be the words.” Jason Russell ends his note with a quote from “Mama Oprah” saying “Intention Rules Your Life.”
My conclusion, based on the organizations own reports is that this is a progressive organization typical of those we have learned to become aware of. The setting of the specific date— April 20, 2012 for the Kony2012 campaign on the heals of the “99% Spring” “TRAINING” going on April 9-14 is suspect. Also of interest, maybe totally unrelated, certainly hope it is, is the historical significance of April 19.
Would love to know if anyone could shed light on any of the organizations listed in the Special Thanks section.
Ping to #29. This is what I have uncovered.
>The bill was passed without congressional approval, and allows the US to deploy military forces in Uganda, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, the Central African Republic and South Sudan (at the consent of those nations) in pursuit of LRA rebels.<
How on earth does a bill get passed without House approval???
That was a direct quote from the article:
Russell presents various montages of ethically diverse groups of students raising their fists in the air, sporting KONY t-shirts, and scenes of mass celebration in response to President Obama signing the S. 1067: Lords Resistance Army Disarmament and Northern Uganda Recovery Act of 2009.
The bill was passed without congressional approval, and allows the US to deploy military forces in Uganda, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, the Central African Republic and South Sudan (at the consent of those nations) in pursuit of LRA rebels.
The film further advocates the requirement of public support for US military operations in the region through forms of street activism, encouraging viewers to purchase Action Kits ($30.00) and posters ($10.00) featuring images of Joseph Kony. Russell then ......

Record-breaking level of Congressional support
Following introduction in May 2009 by Senator Russ Feingold (D-WI), Senator Sam Brownback (R-KS), Representative Jim McGovern (D-MA), Representative Ed Royce (R-CA) and Representative Brad Miller (D-NC), the bill gained an average of 20 cosponsors a month until passage the next year. The bill passed unanimously in the Senate on March 11th, 2010 with 65 Senators as cosponsors, then passed unanimously in the House of Representatives on May 13th, 2010 with 202 Representatives as cosponsors. These 267 Members of Congress helped bring to the President’s desk the most widely cosponsored bill Africa-related piece of legislation in the last 37 years, or as far back as electronic records document.

KONY 2012, Invisible Childrens Pro-AFRICOM and Museveni Propaganda
http://blackstarnews.com/news/135/ARTICLE/8007/2012-03-08.html
Invisible Children’s goals initially may have been to publicize the plight of children caught in Uganda’s decades-long conflicts; lately, IC has been acting as apologists for General Yoweri K. Museveni’s dictatorship and the U.S. goal to impose AFRICOM (the U.S. Africa Military Command) on Africa.

Blue and Silver— pinging y’all to this thread. Wonder if you might have any insight into the names in #29. Do any of these foundations, etc., ring bells related to other foundations and private organizations you already have heard about? This KONY thing has a smell.
Here is info on just one of those on the list.

That’s an interesting organization. Basically, as I understand, they are selling a few goods and passing a portion of profits to non-profits.
I know that Oprah is one of IC’s biggest contributors. She has done a lot to help in Africa. Who could doubt the needs of people on this entire continent?!
I am concerned about the angle that may be occurring with IC that has to do with the using of a true-hearted cause to promote a political agenda. The opposing view to this IC thing seems to believe that is exactly what is going one. But without some money trail— it is only an opinion.
Maybe IC is on the up and up? I just have questions. The viral video has too many psychological manipulation techniques in it for me to trust this movement, especially when its greatest appeal is to our American youth.
Nothing that stands out. Anneburg in is there...we know that is is familiar. JPMorgan - so a national name.
Rest look like West Coast organizations.
