Does Sarah's Vote For Newt Constitute an Endorsement?
The Daily Caller ^ | 03/06/2012 | Jeff Poor

Palin tells Fox News Neil Cavuto “I knew you were going to ask me that, and I am just the poorest politician-sounding pundit,” Palin said. “It is tough for me to spin out of a question like that when it comes from a Fox reporter. If it comes from another reporter, I can spin out of it. Since it came from you, I will tell you, I won’t sound like a politician and I will tell you who I voted for tonight.”

Palin laid out her criteria in her decision.

“I considered who can best bust through the Orwellian Obama rhetoric that we heard more of today in Obama’s press conference talking about another insolvent and unconstitutional bailout that has no funds to finance — another program that he wants to kind of forced down our throat. Who can best bust these ideas of America never taking steps towards energy independence and we have the natural resources here and can do it, and who can best bust through that radical left dispensation and desire to mistreat those who are defenseless, mistreat those who perhaps have some disadvantages by making them more beholden to government? Who best can contrast themselves from that?”

Who was that? Palin said it was Gingrich, the “cheerful one.”

So hair splitters, does her vote count as an endorsement?

Hey morons, does her vote count as an endorsement? How much time do you need to figure it out?

No. Her's was a private vote. She's not urging everyone else to go out and vote for the "cheerful one," which would in fact constitute an endorsement.

Lots of wishful thinking on this board these days.

Yes. For one simple reason: She told us who she voted for.

It is, frankly, a genuine “stupid” question. And they are rare.

I’d say so. I think the thing that has kept her from making a specific endorsement, however, is that she’s not sure whether this would help or hurt her candidate. Certainly, it will attract the scorn of the press and probably stir up their hatred all over again.

But frankly, I don’t see that her endorsement could really do any more harm at this point. The press hates Gingrich anyway, prefering to ignore him if possible, and if she really favors him as the candidate, perhaps now is the time to create a splash by coming out publicly and endorsing him.

“I voted for Newt”.

“I endorse Newt”.

Ok, geniuses, let the nitpicking begin...

Moot—Mitt won Alaska—now if she and other Newt people had voted for Rick, Mitt would have lost.

But that's OK, Rick will win on his own so vote for the candidate of your choice.

I am also going to vote for Newt even if I have to write it in in the fall. He’s the only one who can take on the media. Just watch Romney or Santorum. They both look weak. After listening to Romney’s speech last night, I came away with the same thought...he looked very tired and it just came across as FAKE! The press picks who runs and the Est Repubs go along with it because they are AFRAID of the press. NEWT is NOT AFRAID of the press! Unfortunately, the press purposely ignores him because they also know they can’t run over him!

I’m waiting for the question to be asked. My money is on “I never said I endorsed”.

There is a big difference between a formal endorsement and saying you voted for someone.

One won’t be held against you later, the other could be dragged out and held against you.

Many people this time are shying away from endorsements for good reason.

You can’t make this stuff up!!

Was ‘IS’, the morons say ‘IS NOT’ on nothing more than they can’t think themselves out of a bag - can’t see what is right in front of them. That’s scary!

The difference is you don't vote. That IS an option, genius. I would never pull a lever for Rick or Mitt - it ain't happening.

GO NEWT!!

Sarah is the one splitting hairs. If she endorses a loser, her ‘kingmaker’ mystique is gone.

I think that’s why she’s been so quiet.

You are too nasty to make any sense. Go away and take your bad attitude with you.

Obviously it does nothing to help Newt in any way at all.

Every post you make is without reason and always an insult to someomne else.

exactly.

FOX and the establishment went all out to destroy him , even now FOX is not putting his win on their banner at the bottom of their page.

The establishment are petrified of him, the left came out to destroy him.

Seems everytime when one is not with the establishment they seem to be attacked.

I cannot understand people I guess. I see clearly that Newt is the smartest one of the bunch, and that he is the only one that will not be owned and operated by the Republican RINO’s. Can’t understand why everyone cannot see it.

No way will Romney do away with Obamacare and no way can Rick Santorum gather enough political juice to do away with it either.
