The Operation EFAD After Action Report is posted HERE.

"Enemies Foreign And Domestic" was in Kindle Free from March 1 to 5. During that time, it reached #2 for all genre fiction, and had 33,533 free downloads.

I did catch a screen capture while I was trapped just below Divorced, Desperate and Delicious for ten straight hours.

Later, when I was sliding back down the top twenty, I finally thought to look at the mystery/thriller list, and I made this screen capture:

I can't believe that I missed my chance to save a screen capture when I was listed #1 in mystery/thrillers. Does anybody know of a way to roll back the Amazon Kindle rankings pages, to find a page from four days ago? Is it even possible? Do page archives exist out there, somewhere, that I can access? The Amazon Kindle best-selling mystery/thrillers page is refreshed hourly, HERE.

A screen capture at #1 mystery/thrillers would be a giant help on my website and elsewhere.

Thanks for following Operation EFAD,
Matt

You made the San Antonio ABC News March 2nd Friday Freebies segment. A viewership of 800,000 heard about your free download via the airwaves, then there are those who read it on their website, or have it sent via a mobile app.

http://www.ksat.com/money/fridayfreebies/Friday-Freebies-for-March-2-2012/-/2754344/9159534/-/ksh6aqz/-/index.html

excerpt:
Through Sunday, March 5, you can get a free e-book for your Kindle or other e-reader. Enemies Foreign and Domestic is being offered as a free download. The domestic terrorism thriller might be a good fit for anyone with a military background. Amazon also offers hundreds of classic books as free downloads any time of the year.

LOL, It got there because I sent the producer of the Friday Freebies segment a letter telling him about it.

fridayfreebies@ksat.com.
Hi, Alan,
The Point of my friday freebie letter is to let you know that Beginning on March 1st, and continuing for five days, former Navy Seal, Matthew Bracken will offer his action packed novel, Enemies Foreign and Domestic as a free Kindle Download.

I bought the book for $20.00 awhile back, but FREE is better. It is a domestic terrorism thriller set in the near future.

http://www.amazon.com/Enemies-Foreign-Domestic-Trilogy-ebook/dp/B004JF4L98/ref=sr_1_3?s=digital-text&ie=UTF8&qid=1330117950&sr=1-3

Right now, February 25th, the page shows the price as $6.99, or free for Prime members, but March 1st through 5th, it will be Free, and not just for Prime Members. Free for Everyone.

(snip) I really enjoy Friday Freebies, and am excited that I found one I can share. Thanx, xxxx xxxxx, FridayFreebiesFan

Hi Tom and Larry,

I sent this email to Amazon Kindle yesterday:

Hi, My novel "Enemies Foreign And Domestic" (ASIN: B004JF4L98) was in Free Select from March 1 to March 5. On March 2 it reached #2 for all genre fiction, and #1 for mystery/thrillers. I remembered to grab a screen capture at #2 all genre fiction, but I missed the chance to get a screen capture at #1 mystery/thriller.

Are these best-seller pages archived anywhere that I can access? An Amazon Kindle Best Sellers list screen capture at #1 mystery/thriller would mean a great deal to my success.

Thanks, Matt Bracken

This was the reply I received today:

Hello Matt,

Congratulations on attaining the number one rank in the Mystery/Thriller category!

In the Kindle Store, the Bestsellers Rank is divided into Free and Paid lists. During the period when your book is being offered for free, it will have a ranking in the Free list, and once the free promotion is over, your title will show up with a sales rank in the Paid list.

At this time, these best seller pages are not archived anywhere and we are not able to provide historical data , whether in the form of screenshots or confirmation emails.

Please remember the Bestsellers Rank calculation is based on Amazon sales and is updated hourly to reflect newer and historical sales of every item sold on our website, with recent sales being weighted more heavily. With this in mind, titles that are part of a free promotion may see a drop in the sales rank under Paid list after the promotion is over.

I hope this helps. Thank you for using Amazon KDP.

So, I did actually get to #1 on Mystery/Thriller. Now, here is what I would really, really, really like, if one of you guys can do it. Take the below pics, using the current "Mystery Thriller" page (with Quiver and Killing Room on top) as a format, and slide the Vince Flynn and EFAD covers up to #1. Is that doable?

No rush on this, but it would mean a lot to have an image of EFAD at #1 in mysteries and thrillers.

Thanks, Matt

Easy peasy. I can / will do it for you. Plus, you have a signed note from Amazon, I would use that quote on your website, too:

Hello Matt, Congratulations on attaining the number one rank in the Mystery/Thriller category!

I’m good to go now. An important factor to consider is that even Amazon can’t back check the look of their own screen caps. Or, at least that is what they say.

Travis, you are eating up my weekend! Thanks so much, I’m loving the book. Since I’m new to shooting, I’m learning a few things about that. I imagine by the time I’m done, I’ll know quite a bit..about a lot of things! Thanks!

If you are curious to see a Tennyson Champion pistol, it’s really a Thompson Center Contender. If you want to Google it. Glad you like the book.

They are long books but pretty exciting, I think. Hope you like all of EFAD. My writing improved a little with each, I think.

I’ve actually had a fair amount of discretionary time today and I just can’t put it down. I had to stop for a while to recharge the Kindle! LOL
