Well, it is a slow news day, so we focus on the patently absurd, such as this news out of Interfax confirming that TheOnion can now close up shop as reality is far, far better. From Interfax: "North Korean citizens, who did not take part in the mourning ceremonies for the countrys late Leader Kim Jong-il, are facing up to six months in labor camps, Interfax reported January 11. According to the South Korean media sources, Peoples Courts took place all over the country starting December 29 to condemn those who did not show enough emotion after the death of the great leader Kim Jong-il. The Peoples Court hearings were reportedly over by January 8. The behavior of those people, who criticized the three-generation principle of ruling the country, was also a matter of discussion during the court meetings. It was reported earlier that 2012 calendars were fully taken out of stores because the date of death of the late Leader Kim Jong-il was not marked in them." That said, we doubt anyone will punish the capital markets for crying hysterically should Bernanke's printer finally kicks the ghost.
More brainwashed theater below - the guy at 1:23 minutes in however is sure to get an extra portion of rice for his performance:

LMFAO! This is PERFECT! You really can’t make this up. We need to capture some of these pictures for any crybabies on FR and use them as posts.
“North Korean man cries for you!”
LOL... oh, this is so rich.

Looks like they are laughing instead, that is easy to fake, good actors. hahahahahaha and who can blame them.
Look at that woman, she is laughing. The man behind her has his hands to his mouth, to suppress his laughter. lol

Well, looking at the photo above, I can hardly make out whether the woman to the left is crying or laughing with joy.

I thought in all the videos I watched that it was only the people in the few front rows who were acting distressed. I found it amusing to try to watch the people standing behind them and observe the differences.

When the boys with the guns say it is sad better cry, when they say it is funny better laugh. I don’t think I would last long under such a regime.

The NORKs must have some tough bark on them. In the vid, they’re wearing light jackets. The weather in NK on that day look more like a nice late January day in Green Bay than one dictating the wearing of what they’ve got on. Geeeesh, it must have been cold that day.

This reminds me of Stalinist Russia. Often when Stalin approached to podium to give a speech the applause would go on for 20 minutes up to a half hour. Why? Because nobody wanted to be the first one to stop clapping. Experience had shown that often the first person to stop clapping would never be seen or heard from again.

Experience had shown that often the first person to stop clapping would never be seen or heard from again. In fact they had a bell that would ring, that would signal that it was ok to stop clapping. On YouTube there is a video of one of Stalin's speeches....literally every three words Stalin spoke would be interrupted by applause.
