This seems WAY curious.
This is another incident along the lines of “I know I’m not really supposed to be here” (see the “Office of the President Elect” seal which BO kept displaying after the “election” — this also showed his unease about grasping something not rightfully his).
The drones may just be a cover story to deflect speculation about something much more amazing. And a captured drone could be a great way to mislead an adversary as to our technical level. We could get them to believe all sorts of nonsense based on what they discovered in the drone.
Nice theory, may have something to it.

Barack Hussein Obama is the affirmative action Adolf Hitler. He had the hysterical crowds at his presidential run, reminiscent of Hitler along with possibly being not from America yet ruling it as Adolf Hitler was not from Germany but wound up ruling it. However, as an affirmative action Adolf Hitler, BHO is something of a weak copy. While both Hitler and Obama had a mighty speaking voice, Hitler would not have needed a teleprompter. At least some of Hitler's public works were not boondoggles. He did build the autobahn, which was a success unlike BHO's Solyndra. While Hitler killed millions of Jews by himself, Obama, as is his wont, leads the attempted destruction of the nearly six million Jews in Israel from behind.
Obama wants Iran to lead the destruction of the nearly six million Jews in Israel. Obama gave Iran a sophisticated drone plane, perhaps to offset the effective sabatoge that Israel was doing to Iran's nuclear program. No one is under any requirement to obey an unlawful order. This was an unlawful order. Besides, there are many “Oops” in time of war.
Just thinking. Part of war is getting into the head of the enemy or psy-ops and perhaps part of that would be misinformation in the form of this drone. Perhaps it was a special edition designed with flaws in it’s programming and circuitry. Flaws which are designed to take affect at some point in the future after initial activation of the unit which will be built from their reverse engineering of the captured one. These flaws may include errors in the drones ability to read instructions fed it by remote pilots or inability to release weapons or read targeting information or any one of a number of traps able to be inserted into the drones software.
Anyway, just a thought.

I would prefer that the whole thing is a set-up and not incompetence...
I hink that was Coventry...in the midlands and a center of engineering technology (in those days).
Coventry Cathederal was eventually rebuilt from the ground up.
