BTW, I don’t have a problem with bathroom scales or any other sort of improvised equipment.

Why isn’t this flowmeter listed in the report’s canonical list of measuring devices used for the experiment?

Nope, it’s Rossi’s yob, and he’s not doing it. That’s because he’s running a scam, and the more loosey-goosey his measurements, the better it suits his aims.

We'll see, but in the world of FUSION the big dogs are financed with billions of dollars every year for projects that never do anything.

This is comparatively "table top" stuff and it's privately funded.

Rossi couldn't begin to run the size of scam already being run by Department of Energy!

I think a far bigger point here is that if Rossi is successful the hot fusion projects will die on the vine and all those physicists will need to become day traders.

You know why hot fusion projects are funded? Because they show promise, and work by known and well-understood scientific principles. Rossi is lacking in both counts.

After 60 years I’d suggest they no longer “show promise”.

After nearly five billion years of heat from Sol, I’d say hot fusion show plenty of promise.

You'll love this, for the conspiracy minded among you. I just remembered more detail of Seth Putterman's sonic fusion talk. We routinely videotaped the talks and put them on our web site for later perusal. We would also provide a copy to the speaker. As I recall, Dr. Putterman specifically requested that we not tape his talk. He said he wanted to "speak freely".

His talk was a marvel. This was well after the time where power-point presentations on a memory stick were the audio-visual norm. He showed up with a set of transparencies a good six inches thick. I had to scramble for an overhead projector for an auditorium otherwise fully tricked out for light and sound. He talked clearly and coherently at a mile a minute while pawing through his stack of slides selecting about one out of six to actually show.

It was a marvelous talk, easily in my personal top ten. At one point he paused and said something to the effect that he was going to tell a story that he didn't want to leave the room. It involved DARPA and it was damn funny. Say no more, say no more.

"Why isn’t this flowmeter listed in the report’s canonical list of measuring devices used for the experiment?"

Don't know and don't care. The measurements are there, and knowledge of what was used to take them, as well as the procedure, is available. And frankly, I'm not interested in having a conversation with you, because NO evidence, no matter how presented, will ever be good enough for you.

"Do you agree that the stated criteria are reasonable before I put valuable work into this? It seems silly to proceed otherwise."

Do whatever you like. I'm very rapidly losing interest in you and your giant ego. I'm not going to spoon-feed you. A "true" scientist would make the effort just out of curiosity.

Don't know and don't care.
Your answer to anything that doesn't fit into your preconceptions.

Your scientific rigor is breathtaking! /sarc

Sorry that you are so sensitive about the obvious failings and lack of rigor in Rossi’s test methodologies. Maybe you should complain to Rossi instead of us.

Catalysts can make a plasma?

Not as far as I can tell. There’s a rumor that the customer is NRL, that’s about it.

This is interesting information. It should have its own thread. Go ahead and post it and we can debate over the facts on the ground.

Are you being serious!? You consider Rossi, whom has been convicted of fraud and PURCHASED HIS ENGINEERING DEGREE FROM A DIPLOMA MILL, a “top scientist?”
***Dude. I didn’t write this article. Can’t you tell the difference? What is wrong with you? And note that you don’t even address the concept that is brought about.

Here’s the actual sentence, anyways:
Sherlock Holmes would ask what are the odds that Rossi, Focardi, Levi, Essén, Kullander, Christos Stremmenos, and a dozen other top scientists could all go insane at the same time, deciding to throw away their reputations, careers, and scientific legacies by endorsing a fraudulent energy scheme

with the poor reasoning you display daily on these threads,
***Yeah, right, then how is it I find all these seagulls including yourself in dozens of logical fallacies? You really are going off the deep end here.

Do you have a CNC? How many axis’s? What software do you use?

Man, if I had one I’d be busy every day after work. Then again, if I had a CNC, I probable would make that my work. How do you get the metal or whatever you use? What about tools, do you have to replace them often and are they expensive. Hell, a man with a CNC has his own tool shop and is his own boss. Pretty cool.
