A revolutionary fighter named Ahmed Al Shebani shot and killed Moammar Gadhafi in Sirte, Libya, Al Arabiya television reported Thursday.
The man, who doesn't look much older than 25, allegedly shot Gadhafi in the shoulder as the former Libyan dictator attempted to flee from a hiding spot in a drain pipe.
In a picture, Shebani, hoisted upon the shoulders of his fellow fighters, holds a solid gold pistol once owned by Gadhafi high into the air.

Interestingly, Saddam also was often pictured shooting a Browning Hi-Power tho his was a standard looking one.

The Belgians were always very good at selling their wares to smaller armies...especially those who didn’t want to be seen as “aligned” with one of the superpowers after WW2.

I would rather have a Browning Hi-Power. If I had a Glock 18 I would keep it on semi auto.
I did not know that is what Saddam had on him. I have seen lots of video of him firing a pistol in the air and it was always a Browning.
He’s too young but what makes you think his current leaders didn’t celebrate that horrific event?
There was a huge crowd in Tripoli greeting the Lockerbie bomber, bet you a dollar a lot of that mob was in the crowd.
Gadhafi is dead and that is good.
But, I understand that there are some Americans who believe that terrorists, like Gadhafi who murder Americans should be fall under the protection of the Constitution and given a fair trail.
I am not one of those.
They were probably more upset at Gadhafi, because he hadn’t brought down a plane in years, they probably figure he’d gotten soft.
