VIDEO: ACLU: "American Citizen Anwar Al-Aulaqi Killed Without Judicial Process"
MRCTV (Media Research Center TV) ^ | 9/30/2011 | Joe S.

Today, The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) released a video condemning the killing of al Qaeda's Anwar Al-Aulaqi saying he is an American citizen and did not receive due process.

The ACLU writes:

"Today in Yemen, U.S. air strikes killed American citizen Anwar Al-Aulaqi. Al-Aulaqi has never been charged with a crime. Last year, the ACLU and Center for Constitutional Rights represented Al-Aulaqi's father in a lawsuit challenging the government's asserted authority to carry out "targeted killings" of U.S. citizens located far from any armed conflict zone. We argued that such killings violate the Constitution and international law, but the case was dismissed in federal court last December."

Well, then, there you go. Why are you still hanging around bitching about it?

Sounds like it was judicial use of superior weaponry. My hats off to the processors, and the process.

American citizen goes overseas to fight against Americans and is killed by Americans. What’s the problem?

He doesn’t get protections as a citizen, by his actions he renounced his citizenship. Per the Immigration and Naturalization act, a citizen renounces his citizenship by (amongst other reasons)- (2) taking an oath or making an affirmation or other formal declaration of allegiance to a foreign state or a political subdivision thereof, after having attained the age of eighteen years; or

(3) entering, or serving in, the armed forces of a foreign state if

(A) such armed forces are engaged in hostilities against the United States....

There is no gray area, if you take up arms against the United States, you revoke citizenship and all its protections.

I suppose this will be put at the end of the line behind all the mischief makers who die from tasers, essentially given a summary immediate capital death sentence for staggering wildly. /sarc

Since when did you need “Judicial Process” to kill enemy command and staff personnel?

I tell you needs to be dealt with without benefit of “Judicial Process” - the ACLU and SPLC.

So...if a policeman kills someone trying to attack him, its a crime?

Was he not on foreign soil actively trying to do us harm and damn proud of it?

Jeezzz,,,its not like they walked up and gut shot Ron Paul or this ACLU guy for no reason...

USC 8 Section 1481. Taking up arms against the United States voluntarily relinquishes your citizenship.

My thoughts exactly. If I had my way, we would televise the execution and time him to an IED, and blow him up. THEN we dip what is left in pigfat, and do it another 2999 times for those who died in the Towers.

Everything I need to know about Islam, I learned on 911.

Alawlaki was merely collateral damage. The drone’s operator had targeted the vehicle in which they were traveling. The missile was aimed for the engine block and was only off by maybe three feet.

"Today in Yemen, U.S. air strikes killed American citizen Anwar Al-Aulaqi.

(sigh)

Tell the lie often enough . . . . . .

This piece of buzzard bait was an American citizen only through an accident of birth and the idiocy of the misunderstood, misinterpreted 14th Amendment granting anchor baby status to anyone born on US soil.

His father was a Yemeni citizen attending school here when Anwar was born. As a result, he had dual citizenship. What the DBM and Dems fail to remind us is that, when buzzard bait turned 18, he had to make a choice between US citizenship or Yemeni citizenship.

He chose Yemeni citizenship.

'Nuff said!
