My Wife is Having Surgery

My wife is getting ready to have surgery. She is having 3 bladder stones removed. This is normally a simple procedure, but as many of you know my wife is a paraplegic. Because she had bladder reconstructive surgery about 15 years ago it is a bit more involved than normal. Besides, being her 15th time going under has made her more apprehensive about surgery's any more.

Considering how anything can and does happen, I would appreciate some prayers for her. I am sure it will all go off without any problems, but prayers can never hurt. The who procedure will take about 1 1/2 hours, and if it all goes well she will be going home this afternoon.

Loving Father, I entrust myself to your care this day; guide with wisdom and skill the minds and hands of the medical people who minister in your Name, and grant that every cause of illness be removed, I may be restored to soundness of health and learn to live in more perfect harmony with you and with those around me. Through Jesus Christ. Amen.

She’s so pretty, Vike. Prayers up too. Just had surgery myself.

The Dr just came out and told me that the surgery went better than even he expected. Then he handed me a plastic bottle with three hard stones he removed from her bladder. Instead of breaking them to remove, they opened up her bladder and removed them.

The photo above is a picture I just took. You can get an idea of how big they are because of my fingers that are holding the lid they are sitting in. I never expected them to be so huge.

She is in recovery right now. So I'll log off now and go retrieve her chair and cloths from the van. I want to thank each and every one for your prayers. God bless you all.

I asked her, and she is thinking of maybe polishing them to put on a charm bracelet.

If she does I’ll share a photo of the finished product. So far her bladder has done a standup job of making them almost symmetrical.
